doesnt matter
The South Australian clearance rules requires AFL/SANFL players to obtain a clearance from their last registered local club regardless of how long since they have played there - the rule is in to encourage players to return to their club of origin

There are no such things as clearances in the AFL
If he stops playing in the AFL he reverts back to his club he was drafted from, West Adelaide, if he chooses not to play SANFL he must be cleared from his original club

But dont blokes play SANFL one week then amateurs the nxt. Hopefully common sense prevails and Iggies get their man. Westies wouldnt have any grounds to stop the registration except they want him, couldn't see it getting knocked back.

I got that point. Mayb your missing the point hes coming from the Adelaide Crows and hasnt played for Westies in years. What about this permit u mentioned?
