plymptons B grade were miles better then ours the first time but we do play a lot better at home and we will need to be full strength to knock em off

Agreed....but so were Lutheran and they got beaten second time around. The B grade play much better at home but need to be at their best to knock them off thats for sure, definitely a 50/50 game

Agreed....but so were Lutheran and they got beaten second time around. The B grade play much better at home but need to be at their best to knock them off thats for sure, definitely a 50/50 game

They would go in very confident against us, and rightfully so. With 12 missing at the moment I would hope we get some back very soon. On our ground we set up better, but that wont work come finals time if we play away on a big ground. No co-incidence that our 3 games we have dropped have been away from home.

Plympton the team to beat, Elizabeth making a charge with some very impressive performances. My top 5 would be:

looking forward to North Havens canteen this week with our c grade playing after the a grade, with all the hype i can't wait
be good not to run out of hot water also

Might want some extra lighting in the changerooms though!

ive seen my fair share of bad change rooms i can live with it

Be prepared US ours are pretty bad. With only one light I liken it to a dungeon of some sort. The showers our better than the home change rooms though. You guys are going to love the food the canteen/bistro we love it.

Another twlight game, we've got a good crowd the other times we've had them and it's been a good atmosphere, hope it happens again saturday.

Want to make a couple of points if I may....

Firstly what is wrong with someone actually getting on here and saying "gee u were ripped off". Instead u get comments like "oh but what about the other decision that went over the post and clearly through for a point". Did it go over the post or go "clearly" through for a point. I wasn't there but it doesn't quite seem to be in the same category.

Someone brought up a valid point saying that if the player didn't call him a cheat another kick would not have been awarded... Atleast the comment is correct and makes sense. I agree however as a player that on the odd occassion is inclined to disagree with an umpire, decisions like this one seems to be are ******* infuriating and the natural and possibly correct inference is drawn that the guy is a cheat. We need to protect umpires from crazy abuse but wat about protecting the integrity of the game.

Fact is for Elizabeth is that we are four games behind top. It is not the first time this year a game we won has been taken off us. Hectorville are obviously a very good side It just seems we gave their measure. They too have not faced us any where near full strength. Brahma IMO are a much harder match up for us and if they got over the hoodoo the heccies seem to have on them would beat them comfortably. Ok that's all

Nice to sing the song again today. Been a while!
Windy conditions were tricky, but we made the most of it when kicking with it.
Miegel at CHB and On ball brigade were standouts. HV at Thebbie next week I believe!

Yes, well played AL you guys, certainly sung the song loud and clear! Your mids were excellent for 4 quarters, they used the wind really well and kicked most of your goals. Not sure why Rowie Miegel was left off in the last half, he would of kicked 10+ in he stayed on the ground. The man is a absolute gun. Doesn't say much, just lets his footy do the talking.

Anyone had John Petruzelli umpire any games this season?
If so, what has been like?

He did the Plympton V Rosewater game on the weekend.
Would hope he hardens up a little.

And from two different accounts, was the hardest, roughest & dirtiest game he has ever umpired.
And I am sure all will agree who were present, there has been and will be better physical battles than the contest at Plympton on the weekend.

JP is from down our way, he plays cricket for us. He's a nice bloke but that all changed when I found out he was an umpire. We've had him a couple of times and he's been a bit whistle happy. He really trys to take control of the game and the crowd.

Booze how about an article in the Budget encouraging clubs to take their boundary and goal umpiring seriously. This incident has cost you the game, a possible double chance and possibly a suspension. I know the SAAFL sets the age minimum at 14 but lets get real, a 14 yr old should not be doing these sort of roles
