And, I don't think he was alone in making 'interesting' decisions....
Overall, I thought the umpiring was reasonable and didn't impact on the game.

A low scoring game was always going to be one that North could win.
Berri unable to blow the Panthers away with fire power.
Strong determined effort from Pickles, Scotty and Blackers Hentschke.
Retro contributed well too.
Three in a row for the Panthers. Looking for four in the local derby, should be a ripper contest.

Four losses in a row to Waikerie too.
Would be a long, long, long time since that's happened.
Haven't missed finals since the 80s either....
well it happened last year to end the season. Injuries are hurting them at the moment, had six changes on the weekend and had two players stretchered off Saturday

So it did.
That'll hurt their chances RW. Who was stretchered off?
Should get a win against Renmark this week though to get back on track.

Sam Fiest who was a late in for Tape with what looked to be a serious knee injury and Sutton who was knocked out

How is Damian Stevens holding up RW?
Has played a lot of footy so far this year, was wondering if he is feeling it a bit.
Mind you, has been brilliant. Should be favourite for the Whillas IMO

Another best on ground on Saturday so I would think he is going very well.

Who would that be DW, i think we are thinking of the same player from the losing team.

There seemed to be a little bit of niggling going on in the Berri game also? i was viewing it from a large distance but it seemed Rod Koch clearly viewed a Berri player being hit late off of the ball and the Berri player resulted in getting a yellow?

The player wasn't from the Berri side.

Yep, there did seem to be a bit of niggle from both sides in the Berri and Loxton North game. You still suggesting Rod was biased?
The Berri player may have received a free down field if he hadn't responded the way he did. Instead he got sent off.
It's inevitable that the retaliator will cop the penalty.
He also seems to attract the ire of opposition teams - if you're gonna yap, you're gonna cop it. We all know players like that ;)

Oh not biased, just a little bit inconsistent if a yellow card is going to be used. from what i saw no doubt should the Berri player been sent off, but just though he may have viewed the late hit and shrugged it off.

Might be an interesting study one day to sit supporters from two clubs next to each other during a game and get them to mark the ones they think the umps got right and the ones they missed or got wrong.
I bet you it'd end up relatively even ;)

I reckon for a Berri v Loxton North game we could sit Robbo and Renno together

Barmera v Berri this week at the lakeside! Should be an absolute cracker of a game. Any talk with ins and outs? as i have a few bets pending with a few lads and don't want to lose.

You'd think so. Some weeks they've played when they didn't have the bye!!

The Central District Football is extremely appreciative of the co-operation of the Berri Football Club with regard to allowing player JASON SUTHERLAND play with our Club at SANFL level.

Subject to speculation, both Clubs have mutually agreed on the availability of Jason to our Club.

The Berri Football Club is very supportive of players being given the opportunity to compete at a higher level and has provided us with dates which Jason is available to play.

We are fully aware that 2010 is an important milestone for the Berri Football Club, being their Centenary Year, and Berri supporters can be assured that Jason will be competing in their finals campaign.

Whilst Jason has relished the opportunity to play SANFL League Football, he is aware of his responsibilities to the Berri Football Club, and is looking forward to playing his part in assisting the Berri Demons achieve success this year.

The Central District Football Club again would like to thank all at Berri Football Club for their unselfishness and their professional approach in regard to Jason’s career and we trust that all parties will benefit from these actions this season.
