yeah raider nation, WC are very good.

at fawk reserve the oval is laid out on an angle where the wind was blowing directly down the ground, which gave a huge advantage to the team heading with the wind. it was almost impossible to get the ball into a pocket and hold it there to kill time. WC were able to marginally outscore us in the first & third qtrs going into it, but they kicked 13.5 in the second and 10.14 in the last.
they are just so well balanced with many talls, good strong midfielders, and a more than capable defence.

it sounds funny but it didn't feel like we got beaten by 180. i don't think we'd say we had shocker. going into the wind we were able to hold up play for 5 or 6 minutes at a time, but as soon as they kicked a goal and it went back to a centre break they were able to bust it out of the centre and score 3 or 4 in a couple of minutes. we simply weren't skilful enough to capitalise when we were going with the wind.

it was a very long game - we got the final score of our Div1 a grade's game at the four minute mark of the last quarter in our game!

I don't know if there's anything in this but WC recently beat houghton by over 100 but houghton only went down by a couple to lockleys. would be interesting to hear an opinion on whether that's where the two top sides are at or if those scores are just anomalies.

I must add that overall the humility of the WC players & officials in such a big win was commendable. To be respectful to your opposition especially when there is clearly a gap in the capabilities of each is a good attribute for players and clubs to have, so well done WC.

Sounds like the sort of treatment that Davis and Starry have been copping all year. Good players cop close attention, that's football.

I took umbrage to you saying we weren't doing well and should be doing better. Yes, we could be in a better position on the ladder, but this is already our most successful year in Div 6 and there are still 5 games to go. It is something to build upon. Hopefully we can win 4 of the next 5 games and sneak into the finals.

Well done to Kenilworth yesterday they destroyed us all over the ground!!! They wanted the ball a hell of a lot more than us!!! I think if they can play like that for the rest of the year they will be more than competetive come finals time!!!

Hay, Matthews, Niven. The football committee don't have a great record at picking coaches, they must take responsibility for what is happening, surely. David Payne has to work with what he has, must be given the chance to recruit and start fresh next year, although won't be an easy job to attract players to club in it's present state. Will he be the 4th coach to leave mid season because of the committee. Something has to happen because everything this commitee has tried to impliment at the club has failed. Surely the members will be looking for answers and a change of direction come AGM time.

i think in the end they will get 3rd but still 5 games to go and upsets can still happen..massive win by KFC..i thought farmers had shown some improvement but its back to the drawing board i guess..HDFC seems to have the unlocked the riddle to beating LFC even though they didnt win saturday..a win first round and a 2 goal loss tells me something..

Will be the same as any other AGM at Ingle Farm in recent years...
All the critical, self indulgent mouths that reckon they can change the world
will not be there...
And then we will all have to listen and read all their crap again for another year...

IFFC might need to bolster its playing stocks,as i see no disrespect to the players there now but how many are genuine A-Grade players? Need to get some players is an underestimate one thinks. Still though must get things right at the top first as to little is left to to few for to long now!

get your head out of the sand boys. there was 3 people that played the major part in the club not going down 10yrs ago. doors could of been shut.
Who was in charge of footy when kellett gave it away. its easy to point the finger at those who come after. I would say some of the happenings in years gone by have played just as big a part in why the club is in its current position. You tell me who has come to play at Inglefarm since there GF win some years ago, all they have done is lost some very good footballers in turn with retirements there has been no cattle and are relying on guys who arent up to or a very young.

IFFC was saved relegation to div7 about 10yrs ago, when i think Coad was coach as you couldnt have your A-Grade at that time in div7, so maybe IFFC are just a pernerrial div6 club who might go up or down a grade every now or then.
