Talk on any country footy league or club from the SA Country area

Cos he will probably need them.

Going to be interesting that because according to league rules, you can't recruit any more than 3 players from another club within the same league (even though for all intents and purposes Central and Country are different leagues). If Murphy and Harford are counted as 2, that will only allow for one more but I know there is another option that could be explored.

I thought i would have a go at an early prediction of a ladder

Blackwood - From all accounts recruited very well
Mt.Lofty- Will be a very very close GF
Onkas- Collins will get them close to the mark
Uraidla- Rumours are that a few players leaving , but never count out the cabbage
Hahndorf- Fifth spot is a raffle

Lobethal- Not a lot of talk coming from the land of the xmas lights
Mt.Barker- Will they have enough players to fill a club. lot of rumours about players leaving.
Bridgewater- Could and need to improve. If they get some recruits like they are saying
could be a smoky for the fifth spot.
Ironbank- Not a great year last year but with many juniors will improve , but it coulde be a few
seasons.

Interested to see other people predictions!

Nice one Wolverine.

Who have Blackwood recruited and what level have they played?

Where are you playing next year? Any chance of joining us candy stripers for a tilt at 3 in a row?

My predictions:

1. Obvious Choice
2. Onkas - No reason other than should have the same side but without coaching mishaps in 07. Collo will go alright after NA stint.
3. Uri - Getting older and lost a few players but should be round the mark
4. Blackwood - Going on Wolverine's recruitment news
5. Mt. Lofty's Super B's - probably selling the super B's short. Could be a Mt Lofty A's v Mt Lofty B's GF?!!!!

6. It hurts like **** to say it, but Shanty. Kluzec, Beverlander plus Bateman and Niewenhousen injury free (what about a ron burgandy?) should see the Raiders go OK at home except against the Devs!!!
7. Handorf - a few blokes returning from OS that missed '06
8. Loby - As long as Ledge King is there, they'll win a few games
9. Ironbank - Probably where Mt Lofty were 4-5 years ago with promising juniors but not a lot else. Crap facilities will probably keep them down the bottom though cos they'll struggle to recruit players.

Div 2: Maccy, ...I mean Mt Barker - Will take Shantys mantle. Crap ground, crap facilities, crap area and in '07 crap team!

By all accounts they are, but they will be so bad that nobody is factoring them into the ladder.

It's a given they will finish dead stinking last.

Tom Maslin from Mt. Lofty is looking for a new club. I reckon in the right environment he is a 100 goal per season player.

Don't sell him short. The red hair is worth at least an extra 20 goals per season.

Any truth in rumour that the leading Central B-grade goal kicker for the past 2 seasons (and premiership forward) Scott Madsen has been named as new coach for Mt Lofty's attempt to win the flag for a third straight season. Hope Mad-dog isn't going to be taking overhead marking practice!!! Still a good appointment, and deserves the chance. Heard the side maybe minus a few of the older guys who have stepped down after last year's success. Maddog may well be a good choice given he has taught a number of the emerging juniors at high school.

Classic.

He won't need to though, the super b's midfield will be hitting him on the tit!

The man can kick goals thats for sure!

The most pressing question about Devil-land is whether Chainsaw will retain the runners jumper and continue to annoy the crap out of all and sundry?

Has any one on this forum heard any info about Torrens Valley in country division this year? They have been big spenders in country over the last couple of years. I have also heard that all three James bros will be playing at Kersbrook. This competition seems to be getting stronger each year.
