Ins
Knights, Burton, Smith
Outs Hoban, Goldsworthy, Daniel

I like the ins but am a little concerned that Knights and particularly Burton will not be match fit. With Hoban omitted we will presumably see Miles sharing ruck duties with Parry which IMO is where he plays his best footy. I think in previous weeks we have lost something when Parry has been rested during quarters and I think with Miles there now to back him up we will be able to maintain the intensity.

Goldsworth out is a good move. He is a class player but his last 5 weeks have been poor and deserved to get dropped and should remain there at least for a couple of games. He'll regain some form in the reserves and come back in the league later in the season and once again be an important contributor for us.

Would have to be injured, surely. Has actually performed well for the Power since he got back in the team. Doubt we'll see him at the Eagles again this year (I think he's on 3 games, so doesn't qualify for finals yet).

As far as I'm aware, Carr came in for Schulz merely because of the expected bad weather. Obviously we'll find out more in the coming days but at this stage I'd expect him to play on Sunday.

I also think that he has qualified for 4 games thus far (if I recall correctly: North @ Woodville, Norwood @ Woodville, Port @ Alberton, then the bye the following week). If he's not injured, this week will be the 5th so will qualify him for the finals.

Schultz missed last night due to injury. Not sure how bad but I'd say he won't play this week.

Cheers CA - I just read the same thing in the Advertiser (back injury). For the Eagles sake here's hoping he comes back from injury through the SANFL so he can qualify for finals.

With wins today to Sturt over Central, North over Port and West over South, and Glenelg in second with a bye this week, this game is a huge match for both these clubs. The winner can take another small step towards a top 3 berth. The loser could be playing an elimination final AND fighting it out to have that right with potentially 3 other clubs - esp if Sturt and North keep up their efforts of today over the next 7 weeks.
