My FaceBook page is over-run with people commenting on MasterChef everynight!

The show annoys me.
Lawyers, IT Consultants etc who all want to be chefs?
Well why has it taken a reality TV show for them to follow their 'dream'?
Why haven't they quit their jobs before now and gone for a job in a local restaurant?
What about all of the Commis and Chef-de-Parties around the world who have infinitely more ability and knowledge who will never get the opportunities that these guys get?

Despite that, I wish them well. I am a former restaurant manager so I know how challenging (and rewarding) running a restaurant can be. I wonder if they truly know what they are getting themselves into if they go down that path! An unbelievable amount of effort and work goes on behind the scenes that customers will never see!

Iran has laid down the law: mullets won't make the cut.
The Islamic regime, which strictly enforces head coverings for women, issued grooming guidelines for the guys this week.
Among the do's that are now don'ts? The '80's Prince-style pompadour preferred by many young Iranian men, the Steven Seagal-style ponytail and the "business in the front, party in the back" sentiment of the mullet -- also popular among the Persian populace.
