Mitchell of Hawthorn has a broken hand ruling him out for two weeks. Look elsewhere to replace Barlow.

Take a guess as to which coach has him in their side.

This is getting beyond a joke now.

i haven't looked at the options yet but my current midfield consists of Ablett, Swan, Judd, Montagna and Bartel with Trengove on the bench.

tossing up whether to give Trengove the 6th spot and free up some cash to upgrade a forward or go with a premium to maintain my dominant midfield...

An interesting decision. My belief is that a dominant midfield is a must. Midfielders tend to be more consistent than the majority of defenders and forwards and will score more on their bad days. Unless you are one of those sickening types with over 10 trades left I'd be opting for the dominant midfield model........except for when you play me then I want donuts from you!

that's all true. My thought is that currently Trengove averages almost 80 IIRC. Although it's not super it is servicable. Upgrading him will add say 20-30 a week to my scores.

Option 2 is downgrade Barlow, pocket say $350-400K and upgrade an underperforming forward of which I have plenty... Higgins being in my plans. Other options would be Hall or Playfair...

That would potentially give me more points on a weekly basis...

Will make my mind up later in the week...

I'm just stoked I got Goddard out of th whole thing.

Had to burn a trade and drop H. Taylor, but Goddard is playing unbelievably!

This still protects my cash in the bank for a later upgrade in the midfield. On match averages Ill gain about 20-30 points and think there is upside to Caruzzo.

I got Carrots when he was scoring really well to shore up a wobbly Straycats defence and then he started playing defensive roles and his scoring has died in the ar5e. Get Kelly or Gilbee instead.

Got Gilbee, Kelly is interesting, does he have job security?

Looking this way now -

Out Barlow,Kennelly or Nason
In Pavlich, Gilbert

Kelly is no chance of getting dropped from the cats IMO.

Swan got 127 and Montanga will surpass that tonight. Both guns and you can't go wrong with either.

Interesting in the context of the game- Swan scored 127, Pendlebury 124, yet Swan was clearly Collingwood's best, & I doubt I would've had Pendlebury 2nd best!

I was a few thousand short of trading Barlow for Swan so went with Chapman instead. Naturally, he will go ping this week. ;)

Swan had a few frees against in the last quarter which stalled his score

Pendlebury is a SC jet! He doesn't need the quantity of possessions that Swan does to rack up a big score. I have both these Pies and am hoping Collingwood's run home at the G means some big scores.
