Backing horses without checking who is on board. Not good.

Just thought it was a sure thing.... but Lions killed Miss Imperial when it was a sure thing as well.... In the end she almost got VERCO ROAD there, but tough coming from so far back...

Same score Wharton got on that magic day... Yendall still with a ride to come.... that's how you would want it to go though if you took the $1.38....

Jockey Yendall Equals Vic Record With 6 Winners
Jockey Dean Yendall equalled the Victorian record when he rode 6 winners at Mildura yesterday with 3YO filly Pinsofjoy, 3YO filly Audrey Belle, 4YO mare Danindi, 4YO gelding Stateside, 9YO gelding Toxic Free Mallee & 6YO gelding Ken's Image. Yendall "equalled the feats of Tassie Pegus (1974) & John Salisbury (1963) who both rode the 6-race card at Mildura meetings & Charlie Hartnup who rode the 6-race card at Avoca in 1956," noted The Herald-Sun. Horsham-based Yendall is currently 6th on the Victorian state premiership with 91 winners "despite being sidelined for several months after breaking both wrists & a collarbone in a fall in Tasmania in February". (Jul 6)

And despite that, I still think even at $1.38 he was poor value in the JC.... His shortest priced winner was $4.20 on UNITAB.... an amazing effort I reckon....

CESSNOCK
49531 OBRIEN Chris 2.00 $
49532 RYAN Greg 3.60 $
49533 THOMPSON Robert 8.50 $
49534 REITH Christian 9.00 $
49535 SPRIGGS Dale 14.00 $
49536 STOKES Alex 17.00 $
49537 BUCKLEY Grant 17.00 $
49538 ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL JOCKEY 9.50 $

OB and Ryan definitely have some good cards but I certainly thought D Spriggs would be pretty short with them. At 14s is overs!
