Hitting someone in the crowd ?

EG 4-4
ST 1-7
Sturt needed a spark
The season on the line
Josh Cubillo got a centre break clearance, he burst out and kicked it to half forward
Jeremy Johncock was seemingly out of position
The ball carried to him, he stuck out one hand, and took a fantastic mark, as he does more often than most
Jeremy slotted thru a booming drop punt for a goal
This was the start of 3 goals in a bout 2-3 minutes, and ST led by 3 points
Had ST won this game that might have been the turning point of this match

I didn't know he was that good at multi-tasking!

It is such a huge asset to have a genuine champion for a full-forward, but you need an adequate cover for someone who is such a focal point. Out of anyone to lose on the ground for either side, IMO he is the biggest loss to sustain. We do not have such a focal point like Chambers. You may argue that Scott Welsh is such a player, but Grocke, Salter, Schulz and Day when any combination of them are in the side, they can capably share the load with him.

But WTF were/are Johncock and Herring doing? Both have played enough league footy (and Norman coached enough) to have one of these step up at the goal square when required.

that is a good point that, when you have a focal point you go to him and when he is not there you seem to be a bit lost
with the Eagles who did not have that focal point, they are probably more used to sharing it around and looking for other options

Mate, Thebby has to be GONE now!
I too miss 'the old girl' but we have been merged now for 20 yrs!!!
Woodville is our home - we MUST bury past biases.
2 Flags since the merger - we are the Woodville West Torrens FC now, based @ Woodville Oval.
Let it go

Rimington got the three goals. He seemed to fall out of form or something in the first half of the season, but the last two weeks has elevated him back to where he was late last season.
