A Vuvuzela type sound going off near the Port River every 2 mins or so, just as I've finally gone to bed. I hope it's not an evacuation of sorts, do they know about shrinkage :D

I'll take that as a non-racial remark REB. Wouldn't live anywhere else. "The Port, It's Happening" :)

Psyber, how long before the "burning sting" disappears into the ethos?
I didn't get on to well with the catheter for the week post-op and needed antispasmodic medication. Once the catheter was out the sting seemed to settle in 4-5 days.
The bladder irritability continued to trouble me a bit because I also had a stent reinforcing the right ureter where it was stretched a bit to suture to the bladder.
I was glad to have that removed at 4 weeks. I've been comfortable since then.
I was able to drive my car within a week of the initial surgery, but stuck to the automatic one until small abdominal muscles were a bit less sore.

I've had 4 weeks of piddling "fish hooks", and big ones at that! Probably Shark size!
