Every one makes mistakes but, on The front Cover the Editor must have forgot where he worked now as the quote was "it was reported to us at Sportsbeat"

THAT IS GOLD

Wrong Headline

Who is editing this fish & chip rag.

They should be sacked for incompetence it is a disgrace.

Online page hits count for nothing when you continually screw up.

How much advertising dollar have they generated.

At least 1 club that advertised in this rag last year has jumped ship to the rival paper for better coverage

A please explain on Monday night might be in order.

No wonder HV have lost 3 in a row - according to the SAAFL news (pg 15), Charlie Wintle has been one of our better players this year

Charlie would love that, as a matter of fact, he may have talked the " re-ashley-porter " into deliberately printing it.

Yep, seems he has some real ammo at the moment. Fair enough too though i'd have to admit, the SAAFL news is pretty ordinary in standard and info, i get more info calling into the club for a beer on Friday night, Saturdays and Sundays.

Let that be a lesson to you, Port Adelaide Sturt. & Norwood You don't beat Glenelg in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Same guy making the same errors in other articles interstate;

Here is Ashley Porter’s article about Dean Laidley, as a tie-in to the Port v Kangas game on Sunday, where he observes:

In a twist of fate, Laidley led North Melbourne to a four-point win over Port at AAMI Stadium in round 22 last year, and this time helped Port reverse the result at the same venue, winning by 14 points after leading by 50 shortly after half-time.

Holy scheduling coincidences Batman!

Except, as my man proclaims from the rooftops:

Um, except that Dean Laidley resigned as coach …after the end of round 12, so could hardly have been leading them during round 22. Quality journalism again from the Age…

Sorry to burst your bubble Ashley, Smiddy’s got you. Only it gets worse!

Here is Porter’s match report from Port v North in Round 22 last year, where Porter not only makes reference to North’s then-caretaker coach, Darren Crocker, but he quotes extensively from Crocker!

Lazy, lazy journalism Ashley Porter.

Hope that you Portland boys are happy now. Not nearly as good as the Mawson Lakes Calender but close. Gotta love those Mankinis.

Actually a good photo. I am hearing Piccachu and Marbles and Bubba Love could be involved but thats only what is said. Cant imagine that Piccachu would be involved though :D :D

Given it was published the first time with permission, I believe it then becomes the, erm, intellectual property of the Budget. Technically, they could run it as the front cover for the rest of the year
