Given how the club has acted in the past, I would be surprised if we 'made' someone play for us.

Yeah sorry the exact words that were used was that the clearance was 'rejected'. He didn't say whether that was due to Centrals, the sanfl or any other factor.

Maybe, just maybe Centrals sad no in case they lost another tall??? Where as normally (as as been intimated above) they would let someone who wanted out go but in this case they took a different tack.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Cameron Milne: Dislocated hip (Season)
Richard Cochrane: Broken Scaphoid (5 weeks)
Thomas Dunne: hamstring (Indefinite)
Chad O’Sullivan: Broken Leg (Indefinite)
Eddie Sansbury: Hamsting (Available)
Trent Goodrem: Broken finger (3 weeks)

We keep hearing about Centrals players to come back, looking at the injury list Sansbury and Goodrem would be the only ones that would make the team stronger?

Havelberg is not on that list and will be very important to us as a tall - if he can actually get through a few games in a row. One of our most important players as he can play both ends of the ground.
Also, although not strictly ours, we are likely to see more games from both Nash and Henderson this year. Nash has been dropped by the Power this week.
So:
inclusions of Havelberg, Goodrem, Sansbury, Cochrane, O'Sullivan, Nash and Henderson are possible before season end.
Don't really like the chances of Sully getting back into the League side by year end though. I think we will be waiting until 2011 for his return.

Cheers

Sorry Dutchy but O'Sullivan and Cochrane would be certain walk ups to any SANFL league side including Glenelg, Cochrane is the leader of the defensive group.

You could also make a case that currently if fit Milne would make the side stronger as well.

Last week Roy mentioned on TV that Sutherland fitness is not up to standard and he will see what we can do with him over the next 12 weeks, so I assume he is playing for us for at least the rest of the season.

If you get any of Chad, Cochrane and Milne back Ill be suprised.

From my understanding Milne is done, Chad isnt even in the country and a scaphoid injury is very nasty in which you lose significant strength in the wrist.

Agreed, Dutchie, although Richie is still hopeful of playing this season. Realistically though I think we can only truly consider:
Sansbury, Goodrem, Havelberg (plus the likely availability of Nash and Henderson)
Still, it would make a big difference to our forward line to have those three nonAFL players I have mentioned playing.
Cheers

Whilst Scaphoids are nasty I'll be surprised if Cochrane doesn't play again this year.

Richie Cochrane will 100% definatly be back this season. Maybe as soon as two weeks at latest 4 weeks which will be perfect.

This will give him a chance to play two full reserves games and then back into the league ready for finals. He is at the fittest he has been since he was a teenager as all he has been doing is running running and more running.

Will be great for the Dogs to have such fresh players coming into the side come finals where the wear and tear of the season can take its toll on some sides.
