Calm down Aceman. I don't always agree with what the HFL does but on this occasion its not the HFL's fault that Callington are weak. They apparently told the HFL at the start of the year they had the numbers. Now please tell what can the HFL do other than accept them, although after what has transpired this year they should perhaps be directed to the C Grade competition in 2011.

Common sense should prevail.
They have been a "basket case" for a few years now, the HFL should bite the bullet and cease the bloody slaughter.
Hidings such as this is nothing new!

As I see it, Callington are 50% to blame and the HFL 50%. Callington tell people lots of things which never come to fruition and the HFL should know better for believing them. The C Grade option was suggested to them by club diehards at least two years ago but they have chosen to ignore it time and time again. The suggestion was also mooted two years ago by diehards to throw all their resources into their juniors and field C's only. What do we have now but one very talented junior team which has nowhere to go because the senior aspect of the club is in disarray.
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.

A big well done from Nairne Bremer for stacking their B Grade team already from Round 11.

How does your A's loose by 40 goals yet your B Grade win... what a disgrace !!

Playing footy on Sat & soccer on Sunday with Parafield Gardens, should be worth a $1K a weekend to him.

I am surprised Parafield Gardens can afford $1k a week

Yeh, we stacked our B Grade:
Jon Foster 36
Mark Jaensch 41
Mick Jolly 42
Damian Dolman 38(?)
Shane Strout 39(?)
obviously we dropped all of these guys from the A grade, just so we could win the B's.

Time for SJ to move on me thinks, getting exposed again for the mini-bus that he is, time to move to another club that has bottomed out and lift them a couple places on the ladder and claim he is the messiah!!

He's an impact coach that Johno.....

Not sure the $1K is all from them, there's a bit from Gums I reckon. Seems there is a slight hiccup though, the big boss at Adelaide City is playing hardball, reckons he's done that much for Freddy that he's owed a bit so has threatened to pull money from the federation if he moves north..
Par Gardens have paid his relocation from Qld costs back to the boss but he wants more. Stay tuned.

That would be correct.

An amazing performance from us, the best ive seen from a Gumeracha side in many many a year. Shows what happens when all the boys rock up switched on and with great discipline. Was quite surprised at the size of the victory and the lack of heart from the majority of the Maccy players who appeared content to squabble amongst each other. Agius was the star for the day and he'll make a great addition for the rest of the season.

Also I was shocked at the lack of support from the away side. In recent years Maccy have always rocked up in good numbers but yesterday there werent many there. Maybe im looking too much into it but it doesnt look all that well.

Was at their match against Kangy and certainly expected a few more than there was - was on par for attendance with some of our darkest hours and I know we've had a few!!!
Regardless of what does or does not happen in the offseason, you'll never hear yours truly complain about us appointing Johnson and that's from a former player (retired this season) that knew his role in the team was probably going to be significantly reduced with his appointment.
We had to do something and believe his style was what we needed at time.
Most players who couldn't hack him are now playing B grade elsewhere so that's their choice.

Has SJ been resigned for 2011 yet? I hear there's a club in the NEFL looking for an impact coach.

ORD, I understand that the club had to do SOMETHING, but a little research wouldn't have gone astray.

Definately didnt sign for 3 years SJ likes to weigh things up at seasons end to see wether he has got the most out of the year for example if we dont make finals this year & improve on last year he will walk & let someone else have a go!

Good on Johnno, he's a club man classic! KOS, you seem very close to him, perhaps too close, 'cause you're starting to know and echo his thoughts.

As I said on here nearly two years ago, Birdwood people's opinion of the time was good enough for us and why those people are no longer at Birdwood is a question for you I guess.
