If you want to talk facts perhaps you should re-think "deserted the club 4 months ago".

How about "accepted an interstate employment opportunity after many years service to the club".

That's better. you could add "Whilst hoping to return in the near term, subject to employment terms and the club agreeing."

tried it once with Mcadam & Platten, failed miserably then. Sure, they can come back, they won't get a league game this year, that's certain. Next year, they are nearly mid-30's, won't happen.

Agree,

my one condition of having them back would be that they are willing to spend the year in the reserves if the league is playing well.

Admittedly, it was quite different with McAdam and Platten. They had both been absent from the club for many seasons. Matty and Yves have only gone for half a season. All this is speculation though - neither has declared they wish to come back yet. They would have a lot of experience to offer younger players though, even in a nonplaying 'mentoring' capacity.
Cheers

Whats the cut off date for a clearance? Matty has already been given a clearance to Gawler Centrals?

Wouldn't he have to get a clearance back to Centrals?

Apparently Leigh Westoff tried to move back to his home club Tanunda before the transfer deadline but was denied. Not sure how true this is but heard from a customer of mine who plays in the BL&G league very close to Tanunda.
