Gee PAOC smashed SMOSH, 134 points. They haven't done too much wrong this year so far. Good to see Portland have a win over fierce rivals Mitcham by 39 points.

Interesting comment Hellboy. I watched the PAC/Iggies game last week, and the only thing it proved to me was that there isn't much between these 2 sides, which is confirmed by the fact that both games this year have been close margins (4 and 7 points).

There is also not much difference in the number of ex-SANFL players running around for both of these teams, so not sure what you are trying to get at with your comments.

erm sorry wrong mate
(only count league/ressies)

iggies ex sanfl/afl players- white, whiteman, pedler, atkinson, Tomich, carr (if he plays)

paocfc- Roo, DeVreis

but i dont think that is what makes either team good. PAC's depth is amazing and iggies have a good midfeild core of young blokes.

Teaoby, as someone said previously, you can add Evan Hurse to your list of ex SANFL players. I was under the impression Tom Prest played some reserves footy at Sturt as well, so he was another i had included for PAC. Happy to be corrected on that one though if it isn't right.

Considering Carr hasnt even played a game yet, the comparative totals for the 2 teams aren't that different. I do agree with your comment regarding why these 2 teams are good.

I shudn't post with a hangover

Hurse didn't play against Iggies - he played B's. Not sure about Prest but he's PAC through and through

I didn't meant to offend Iggies - great that they have grabbed the initiative to want to win a premiership instead of just being lawyers

I dont think they go missing in the 2nd half like they have done before

Was a big second half by Seaton on Saturday. At the 20 minute mark of the second quarter i thought they were gone. The Para Hills run from half back and the spread from the Para Hills boys in the second quarter was excellent, but it was almost non existant in the second half.
I thought Treloar and Walsh in the ruck for Seaton were very good all day, and the midfielders of Seaton got alot more of it in the second half, which set up the win. Patruno kicked some crucial second half goals from the boundary after being well held for the first half.
I was impressed with the PH full forward (Hanson i think) he marked everything that came his way.

hmm hanson dominated this div last year, but has had a slow start to this year due to injury, if PH can get his body and fitness to wear it was last year watch out for PH on the stretch home!

im not sure how true but i was told marshall didnt play for seaton on the weekend even though he was cleared to play by the tribunal, any one give any feed back

I wont be able to make it down to Mitcham, you will have to owe me one - Thornton will be playing A grade.[/quote]

Is the rumour true that Felch may pull on the boots again against the lions this week? Would be rather handy?
