henley beat clgfc by 4 points..9 goal last quarter after clgfc kicked 8 points in a row at the start of the match..34 scoring shots to 23..a much improved henley from rd 2 but the lions blew it badly and this one may come back to hurt them i reckon..henley worked much harder in the last half and finished full of running..

CLG were trying to snap for goal from within packs and kick goals from the boundary, hence their goals to points ratio suffered.

the point was that at no time in the game were CLG allowed to play a style which allowed them to get easy set shots. the set shots that were missed were from 40+ on angles- not montys. the defensive style from henley in the 1st qtr didn't allow CLG to kick ahead when it was blowing a gale.

3 Grades! Great wins for the club.

The best performance of the season for the A grade, strangely a slow start to each quarter however very strong running with plenty of team work dominated a depleted TOS. Good solid performance that actually could have been greater. TOS will bounce back.

Yes ZED a very big night at Rutland where the club mum's put on a 3 course dinner and Girlfriends enjoyed free champagne. There was so much Hair Product I'm sure we've burnt another hole in the Ozone Layer.

I left at 10 and they were just warming up for a big night out. Those nights help bond a team.

Unearthed a real talent in the Ressies today, should be "Cherry Ripe" by Round 14 or 15. Ony 18 years old but he goes OK

Was interested to watch the LFC "Runner" today... after a long career in Fluro myself it's amazing to see how players respond to a man who's got a Magarey and a Carlton Premiership to back up his messages. They just do it! And why wouldn't ya!

It doesn't surprise me to see Henley snatch a win, they have some gun runners and a decent spine. They may cause one or two more upsets this year and would have pretty much avoided relegation now. I'd love to know the 'Inside 50' stats, CLG must have had a heap of entries - I sympathise with you lads, we've lost a couple of games this year thanks to some wayward shots.


I've got big wraps on my B Grade lads today - they played the second half with 16 players on the field and still managed to have a good win. Thoroughly deserved and they did themselves proud.

Thought I might just turn the heat up and focus on Hanson Rd...always love to be an underdog, not a maddog just an underdog.

And I hope you're right about that depth cause that's been my focus for the past 3 years and I recon it might just be the difference in the long run home.
