'Mediocre' performance from Sturt. Went to sleep for 5 minutes in the last and allowed South to kick three goals. Should have won by 140.

Agree, we were bad in the first quarter, bit better in the second and then turned it on. South were a disgrace

Yes, luckily South didn't 'get their game going'. Surely if they did they 'would have belted that mediocre looking Sturt line up'.

I'm not sure if my esteemed colleagues above are joking or not, but I thought it was pretty darn good performance today. The Blues started off slow and I was thinking, here we go, another tough slog with South Adelaide, but thankfully the determination we've seen in the last few games took over from the 2nd term onwards. Sturt burned away to a comfortable 7 goal lead at half time and then smashed the Panthers in the third to be up by about 14 goals at the last change. The last quarter, with South somewhat more competitive, was still a canter on the way to a mammoth victory.

I am pleased. It might be a sign we're getting our sh*t together finally...

That said, disappointed with South. Really thought they had improved this year, but this game was much like South of last year, a real disgrace, just didn't compete at all, very, very disappointed with them.

Not happy on that front, as I was really hoping South would be an improved side this season.

Can't believe that was the same South (yeh, I know, no Warren) we played in Rd 1. They were utterly dispirited and dreadful today. Felt sorry for most of the hardcore supporters there who turn up week after week - but not for the loudmouth dimwit in a beanie and his unteachable mini-me son who let fly as usual with witless verbal diarrhoea about the umps and Sturt wooden spoons all day. Final straw was paying out on Alex. Boo you muppets!

Sturt were pretty good today without being 100% convincing which must sound strange if you weren't there. Certainly the second quarter won it for us but it wasn't until the final term that we started to look like the team we've been expecting to see all year. Chambo was on fire there for a patch but personally I got a thrill out of seeing Wark in the forward pocket slot a couple of goals. It will be telling to see if Sturt can string two games together for the first time in the season with a win at Oval Ave next week.

Didn't skip a beat in the ressies. Looked very good and very composed running and delivering out of the backlines.

I was one of the brave supporters you Sturt people saw there today.

I must say why the hell i went and paid the gate fee I shall never know. I just really enjoy getting succumbed to performances like this.....really caps off my week!!!
I can handle losing if we have a genuine dig at the game but today it was very well evident we had zero interest to be at Unley today and utterly embarrassed oursleves to our members, supporters and the general SANFL football public.

Just when you think there is light at the end of the tunnel - the team dishes out this s**t.

I could not find 1 player worthy of a award today. It was hard to find any best players at all that had a real "fire in their belly" and have a genuine crack at the game.
The body langauge from some of the players was bloody embarrassing......so was the endeavour, drive and motovation. You could see it on the players at half time they were ready to get changed and go have a drink at a pub somewhere!!!

The sad thing for South is this....we have absolutely no depth at all. Look at the reserves score and under 18's on the ladder. Its not good.
We have players out there that are not up to the standards of SANFL league football.
We keep talking about recruiting from the Southern Football league but lets be honest.....I think we have to look elsewhere.

Sturt were great today. Hard at the ball, fierce in their tackling and made us look very second rate (which we are!!)

To all Sturt supporters , I feel sorry for you guys to have to pay and watch that!!!

We have a long long way to go....and I dont see light at the end of the tunnel for a while yet.

Glenelg next week....God, help us please!!!! :Hangman:
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

Great effort today by Sturt, still didn't put 4 quarters together, didn't think we really got it together until halfway thru the 2nd, saying that to pile on forward towards a 100pt plus win was sensational....having said that South really dropped their heads in the 3rd, felt sorry for the supporters however idiotic their comments were, yes you mob near the members beer tent, but you gave us something to laugh at. Not a good look when your president leaves halfway through the last quarter, probably had work to go to but still.
This will mean nothing if we don't beat WWT next week and poke a head up into the 5.
Go Blues, keep it together, keep some perspective and go hard.
