I don't think retaliation is a sound defence either

I disagree with both of you. Though it doesn't necessarily mean a penalty won't be incurred by the retaliator, I think it can be a critical part of defending a charge.
If for example someone had you in a "squirrel grip" or "choker hold", have you the right to retaliate? If you did it could provide a sound defence.

Sorry wedgie, now back to the game.

you tell 'em, mini Bruce! ;)

The fact that Sellar has not even been named in the Glenelg squad does make it seem like he will indeed play for the Crows.

Of course, I could be wrong. It is just that when we have a player who has initially been named in the Crows extended squad drop out to play for us we seem to know this when our squad is announced. For example, a number of times Henderson has been named in the Crows extended squad on a Thursday night but also named for us.
Sellar of course could be in the Crows squad as a precaution against someone dropping out through injury and may still line up for Glenelg.
Cheers

According to the 'Tiser this morning Justin Westhoff has been "rested" by the Power??? Why would he need a rest given he hardly had more than a training run last weekend with the effort North put up?

Who knows, it might even be as good as a reserves game from ten years ago.

Dogs for mine in a close one.

Doubt it, no need to get carried away as the comment was a relative comment.

A good quote in the paper this morning by Bob Hank who's been going to SANFL games for 80 years: "The older fellows think the Footy is not as good as the old days. The game suffers by comparison but a lot of young people who go to the football now know no different".

who gives a fat rat's clacker what ANYONE thinks?? If you go to a SANFL GAME & YOU ENJOY YOURSELF, ISN'T THAT THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS? What happened 10, 20 or 50 years ago is irrelevant, we can't change the standard.

Nailed it right there Centurion. If not, don't go IMHO.
