I think it has, but less episodes in the 2nd half of the year, perhaps if they returned it to a Saturday night it would go better.

WRONG (and that article has been pulled, although a replacement is back up on Adelaide Now).

It was originally meant to be 2 lots of 10 episodes (which was meant to end last week). However, they extended this run by 3 weeks so Kylie Minogue can end the first run in a couple of weeks. The second run will start after the Commonwealth Games and will only be 7 episodes.

So it's still 20 eps as planned - it's now 13-7 instead of 10-10.

Whether or not it comes back next year is another story.

As was widely tipped, when Hey Hey returns in October, it'll return to Saturday nights.

Whether that's due to popular demand in the show returning to it's traditional timeslot, or Channel 9 putting it out on TV's graveyard shift I'm not sure (probably a combination of both).
