The Farmers definatly look like an improved unit under David Payne, well done. Good to see at training he has gone back to basics, improve the skills and enthusiasum amongst these young lads and win can't be too far away.

2 things still bother me, heard from aclose friend of the coaches that he has already hit the brick wall upstairs, would be a shame if he thought the job would be to hard with this constant obsticle and walked at the end of the year, and the other thing is why was an ex A Grade fullforward told he wouldn't be registered by the same obsticle when the coach and players all wanted him in and a quality player like this in front of the goals would have given them an extra 30 or so goals for the rest of the year and a real target to hit up.

who is the fullforward this year stuggling to kick a goal, i remember now, the pres.
i think the players are proving that maybe some off field work should be done, i remember the same management powers that be removing a whole committee that was very successful because they thought that there shouldn't be players on the committee, but it's ok now even though they will probably go to div 7 next year..... so get on here everyone and bag me but it's time for a change, except you can not become a member unless your a fan of certain people, FACT
Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts....

west croydon vs trinity was a good game with one of the better umpiring displays i have seen for a while.they never had no influence on the game and were very consistent.trinity won the first and third quarters but couldnt put the score on the board.the hawks were good without setting the world on fire but the game was not a good reflection of these two teams with both clubs having a large number of players missing on the day.the thing that was most noticiable was how many players try playing dry weather footy on wet days.it rained their nearly most of the day but both teams persisted on playing dry weather footy.in the end when the hawks played their footy down the corridor they looked better.big fellas might as well have stayed home for they were never in the hunt but once the hawks got proactive and dictated the game style they looked better.

as for the weather, foxtel is lying to me again saying rain will hit late today and remain with us till tuesday.

zedman wrote:stubberfield aint 6ft 5..and osborn plays for kenilworth not lockleys and is well over 6ft tall and would be as strong if not stronger than bryant and stubberfield and maybe heavier..go and stand him one day..he is the in form premier forward of the competition..i always thought in the wet the so called "tough" teams with size and grunt do well but you say the TOS runners will benefit not WC who you rate as a straight ahead hard hitting attacking team that you like watching..i am slightly confused..so if it was a dry day you would favour WC even though TOS have great "runners" who you would imagine would like to play in the dry rather than the wet??? surely the TOS forwards can take marks as well?

my weatherman says 16 degrees with a possible shower..

dee man wrote:didnt actually say osborne played for lockleys,i know he plays for your boys, mentioned lockleys because of the fact you mentioned their forward,
as for big osborne,i know how big he is but to debate with you about him and stubby and bryant, well i would be just waisting my time

Do some homework Dee Man and you will find Zed and brown and blue birds are definately NOT in the same nest.........

that might be true but his love affair with them will never change.i know you mighten think so but i kind of know a little about what goes on

"love affair"...hmm..interesting..i have old ties there for sure deeman but i dont think i would call it a "love affair"..when ignorant committee members tell untruths about you and call you a "coward" or "scared" when you cant defend yourself, i am fairly sure there aint much love to be seen in that regard..and respect is lost very very quickly..i still wish all the players i have been associated with all the best as they always supported me 100%..but there is no "love affair"..just call it as i see it..

but if you had kids with the ex wife you would love them..and thats the scenario..seeing players that we were told by supposed smart committee men they were not good enough who now play A grade every week..that gives me a buzz..seeing players we brought to the club regularly filling the best players..that gives me a buzz..seeing my friend justin salisbury charging towards another B&F..that gives me a buzz..seeing all the juniors we exposed to football last year getting A grade games..that gives me a buzz..listening to reports of what some two faced committee men say about me..makes me sick :/

You spent a lot of time and effort at that club Zed, you should be very proud of the achievements you made and those that are still developing additional fruit.

Those people that criticise and probably ride on the coat-tails of some of your developments are not worth the grief....when you see those players in the street and at matches...they know who to thank and probablly don't even know the names of the faceless movers and shakers.

I've been lucky, real lucky never Divorced! What can I say, she Wuv's me.

However my greatest achievments have been of course with MY Family and those who I count as my surrogate "Family" the players I have had the privelage to coach.

It gives us all great pleasure when we see that guy, often a battler, make his A grade debut and then continue to play well.

Funny over the years the number that still remember you and the little role you played in their footy is never forgotten. That makes the hard yards and long hours for basically nothing alll worth while, I love that!

I wish all dedicated coaches well...just not too well when coaching against my beloved Deez. ;)

Maybe more than 1 "NEW" Fella but none as good as you! Your heart beats tru for the Red & Blue.

These "Possibles"...they're all good, allthou they'll still have to earn their strip.

But I recon you'll enjoy hav'n 'em around. There's always room for good blokes who are good players ;)
