2nd qtr killed the Roo's today. Other than that was a well fought game. Few hecklers towards mick and freddy but it was all in good fun.

Couple of close games played out at Henley, would have been good to watch. The A's finally nailed a win out there.

Just want to say thanks to the Henley trainer who helped one of my lads who tore his medial and for also assisting me from the ground.

You are too nice Quichey. Pity a few of the Henley players couldn't play the game in the spirit as the Henley trainer. Very ordinary

He was the instigator of 90% of the incidents during the game and am pretty sure he got yellow carded as well. Leading from the front? I think not. He is the one person you would think sets the standard and i was amazed to see him set such a pore standard right from the get go.

Have any other teams experienced anything like that from the Henley boys this year? full credit to the lockleys lads who kept their head, and didn't get sucked in to this. As a saafl follower i had to come on here and express my opinion,i know that henley in all other grades are not like this.

Well well. It bobs up again. Good early Call - Here 4 a Grin I have seen a few games of Henley's Div 1 (A's & B's) and fair to say they play the game in right manner. After today I can't say the same about the Henley Div 6 C Grade - are they just dirty because they were forced into into Div 6 this year (instead of seeking their usual glory ) or just plain DIRTY :D Yep the latter.

dee man wrote:since at this stage and seeing west croydons ground for myself, is far from a mud heap,it has always been well known that when slippery, forwards dont take as many marks, light feet across the wet slippery grounds are alot more stable than the bigger bodies.the bigger slower bodies and teams are more suited for the mud traps when everything is brought back to the one level and pace.as for discriptions of power forwards i was alluding to the fact that their size and strenght is second to none, typical 6foot 5" players, not as agile but pure strenght, not the tall agile forwards at lockleys.you cant put them in the same level because they play totally different roles.
as for the weather, foxtel is lying to me again saying rain will hit late today and remain with us till tuesday.

zedman wrote:stubberfield aint 6ft 5..and osborn plays for kenilworth not lockleys and is well over 6ft tall and would be as strong if not stronger than bryant and stubberfield and maybe heavier..go and stand him one day..he is the in form premier forward of the competition..i always thought in the wet the so called "tough" teams with size and grunt do well but you say the TOS runners will benefit not WC who you rate as a straight ahead hard hitting attacking team that you like watching..i am slightly confused..so if it was a dry day you would favour WC even though TOS have great "runners" who you would imagine would like to play in the dry rather than the wet??? surely the TOS forwards can take marks as well?

my weatherman says 16 degrees with a possible shower..

dee man wrote:didnt actually say osborne played for lockleys,i know he plays for your boys, mentioned lockleys because of the fact you mentioned their forward,
as for big osborne,i know how big he is but to debate with you about him and stubby and bryant, well i would be just waisting my time

Do some homework Dee Man and you will find Zed and brown and blue birds are definately NOT in the same nest.........

Just wanted to say that Mitchell Pk busted their guts today on and off the field.

I have been involved in footy when things are going well and also when things are on the rebuild and IMO "The Minties Crew" deserve some well deserved credit for working hard against the odds today and conducted themselves well.

Some very hard working club people are doing a great job and I hope they can get some more help and I'm sure things will be on the improve sooner rather than later.

Credit where credit is due!

Yes they did and they played an LFC Reserves side that featured a large number of players who could play A Grade at a number of other A6 Clubs. The score is a reflection of the depth at Rutland Ave at the moment and not a reflection on the guys from the MPFC Reserves, who did give it everything they had, right till the Final siren.

LFC had 3 BIG key forwards kick 21 goals between them, another 3 multiple goal kickers and an additional 5 individual goal kickers in a very good team effort.

A real test for the Vidal Sassoon Demons, comes this week with the Triple Header against TOS at Rutland Ave. That will be 3 matches worth watching and playing in.
