Put it this way - I don't think Ken Applegarth or Mark Mickan were too worried about finding out he was fronting up for Centrals, nor will Trev Cranston this week. And I would suggest Mick Godden his old coach wouldn't be either V Eagles (refer Big Phil's 2nd post) ;)

Oh right we pick up a player playing in the country league so we must be cheating the cap??

Lame

So your telling me you are paying under the cap then? If thats the case then good work

I would suggest that due to Yves Sibenaler leaving late in the pre-season, his 'payments' would have been allocated in the cap and with Evil leaving to head up north with work, that would leave a bit of extra room to perhaps sort something out with Pumpa (who funnily enough wore Evil's old number 37) and sort something out appropriately with the Berri FC.

I thought 'Pumpa' was good on debut, just hope the club and Berri can sort something out financially.

Jason Sutherland's stats on debut:

Kicks - 4

H/Balls - 3

Disposals - 7

Marks - 2

F/For - 1

Tackles - 2

Hitouts - 20

It makes it very hard for us to find a new ruckman, with the 30 June clearance deadline upon us. It's not so much the monetary compensation, it's the fact we will find it hard to replace him with a new ruckman. Maybe Centrals could provide us with their reserves ruckman for the rest of the year?? How does that sound ?? ;)
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

If John Griffin came back to the Dogs line up from the Crows, Jason would be sent back to the reserves I'd suggest but I reckon that the Crows will persist with Griff for a little bit longer yet.

Just like your club wasn't worried about a couple of our players that they considered 'too old and too slow' a couple of years back?

I thought he fitted in great today and look forward to seeing if he can back it up again the next few games. But if we can't keep him, maybe we can offer Giles a couple of bucks to come back for the finals. He might have some spare time this September/October the way things stand at the moment! ;)

My comment was reponding to a queston on here about why we let him go.
GFC let him go as we don't want or need players that aren't 100% committed to our club, and their team. At the time we had Cranston, Button, Grosser Sverdloff & McGinty all committed and developing ruckman.

Play on....

Glenelg supporters suggesting other teams are paying over the cap would be like me telling others they drink too much.
Please!
I know its 4 premierships in 400 years but FFS lay the blame at your own club not others!

PS I have a write up of today in the works but it'll have nothing to do with the footy, had a great day with Dogs fans today! :D

Great day in the c/box. Best chant of the day "Corporate box Corporate Box Corporate box" when the rain started just before half time.

Wedgie & On the Rails = Top Blokes. Thankyou both for a great day today. It has to be one of the best drinking days in the c/box we have all ever had.

Just like we are sad to lose players to the AFL we always wish them well as it is good to see players acheive their full potential.

Centrals have dealt with this very well thus far and understand that Pumpa has a contract to honour at Berri. I'm sure that won't change just because he's played well on debut.
Don't be scared. Now is not the time!

He has another year. More than enough time to get North to the bottom of the ladder.
