GO is the king of the big comments. Pretty certain when the proposal to field one side was mooted he stated he wouldn't want anything to do with it....
Pinch of salt stuff imho.

I am sure that the two team party would have had a pretty good hearing over the weekend, especially after the magnitude of the victory.
To quote the famous Linda Lovelace, "one swallow doesn't make make a summer". PLFL (esp LC) has endured enough ridicule over the past 10 years to resist change so quickly.
If we are having this same conversation in a couple of years time then maybe it's time to get serious.
I think if Mortlock Shield has shown us anything over the years, it is "what comes around goes around".

totally agree, things can change very quickly. lets just see what happes during the next few years and let KI have another 2 years and then see. player movements hurt assoc sides as well and remember the player of the carnival j kemp (yes it hurts!!) could have been in a great flinders jumper if not for the contract he signed with souths.
KFM lochie hasn't played a grade as yet. he has had injury concerns and hopefully late in the year he will. certainly has the talent as you would expect being max's son.

Having one team for PL is proving successful because there is some prestige attached to making the side. Anyone half reasonable made the LD & LC squads with those keen to play normally getting a game. Now that the side is quite elite blokes want to be a part of it, egos kick in!! PL will be hard to beat from now on, might not win it every year but will probably win two of the three games most years.....

Can someone from the Redlegs confirm this for me
"the Wayback Football Club wholehardedly endorses the affirmative action taken by
the PLFL inregards to the football game between Mallee Pk and Bostons on the 29th
of May 2010." etc. etc. etc

Steiger- My only thoughts could be "affirmative action" would be "referring the matter to the SANFL."

Round 10 MP v Bostons will tell us whether there will ever be another Lincoln Districts. Unfortunately for the Mortlock Shield, something very miraculous will have to occur to ever see these two clubs in the same changerooms in the near future. Give it five years and a change in the playing lists, and that dark day in 2010 may not be such a catalyst for outright anger and bewilderment.

On principle, I want to boycott the game, but I'm feeling strangely drawn to UFC Oval in Round 10... 8)

My mail from an SANFL source tells me the SANFL endorsed the actions of the PLFL and the tribunal and the matter is considered closed. Play on once again until next time....

Marble Park, I believe if the venue is not changed Bostons will not be turning up

I wouldn't blame them...

Perhaps with so many people not keen to play them, it could be my only chance of getting a guernsey this year...

I'd take a different angle n stop crying about it n go there n smashem of the park ! Do what u did in the first half n Do it for 4 quarters n stick it right up them ! Get hull to tag Harry n be twice as annoying as last time n come away with the points,if u run away from them they will think they have won(again) ,front them n smash them !!!
