yes they were talking to him and was aware he was coming to bridgewater but don't no yet if he has signed!

kluzek has been signed!

should be a handy pick up is he playing the entire season on only part of it as previously stated?

my understanding is that he will play a majority of the season. he is only going overseas for a couple of months and will still do majority of pre season and miss first few games but not 100% on that

He would be a handy player in a side that can get the ball up forward so he can get a kick. Why recruit full foward in a side that has the worst midfield in the comp.

Exactly. He should fit in well.

Shanty may do a preseason, but they always go missing during the season.

It's a match made in heaven!

get ur facts correct before opening ur mouth rapper. snowden was never going to coach shanty but 2 weeks before the season started shanty coach got a job with the sanfl which said he couldn't coach a side. snowden beinng a good man he is said he would help the club out but was still going away. from all reports kluzec is a very good player and the club is prepared to sign him up even tho he may not play every game. shanty have also signed up a couple quality midfielders and a ruckman that numerous div 2 and other hills club are chasing.

c'mon ron i think youll find that rapper's facts actually were right. whether he was going to coach from the start or not the comment 'the shanty coach that went to the world cup for 8 games' is still correct.

sounds like a couple of good players to the floodwaters of bridgy. dont forget lads it only takes one good kick and its forward at shanty a good FF could win them a few at home.

You mean Snowden has recruited another couple of Cops that he works with. Donnelly is a 100kg and was playing B grade for most of the year at Gepps Cross.

Dont get me wrong Kluzek is a gun but he wont win Shanty a premiership.

shanty havn't recruited kluzek to win a flag, they are recruiting to become more competitive. i heard div 2 is very competitive. maybe a small oval will suit donnelley's big body. as for not having a good midfield, shanty have locals in andrew "monty" feijen and jack beverlander who is a very good player, injuried for majority of last year. shanty have also picked up 2 quality midfielders. the depth may not be as deep as a lofty but they will still have a quality midfield. its only early but shanty will be competitive and will finish midway pushing for the 5.

Forgive me as I haven't heard but are Bridgy in Country Division next year? Since one poster on this site is already playing cricket there, perhaps he could sign up for footy there when he gets the boot from Sturt.

I think he mean Div 2 Ametuer's is competitive where Gepps Cross have been playing, I imagine their B grade would be pretty close standard to Hills A grade, particularly Bridgewater's!

ORDD if Sturt had any brains they wouldn't let that dim wit finish the pre season I think he is already associated with Hahndorf? Although that is where he initially was playing cricket................anyway, too much said already on a number of threads about this partiular individual, lets get back to what is important, Hills footy!

Can you tell me how the Country Div is shaping up this year? I know it is only early but what are the wispers on gun recruits to which clubs for 2007?

Good old Silky! A few of us (myself included in a big way) got sucked in and had some heated arguments, but at the end of the day I think it's pretty funny.

He's managed to get up everybodys ar5e and create some entertaining discussions.

At this stage of the year there's bugger all else to talk about, so we might as well have a slanging match with Silky to pass the time before the 2007 season.

Lets face it, arguing with Silky and reading all the stupidity is way more interesting than talking about Mt Lofty or Shanty!!!! (Sorry Ron!!)

bridgewater also signed Loren Franz. Played only a handful of games in div 2 last year, struggled a bit after
having a year off, but still should dominate.

Ron, pushing for the top 5 is a big call mate. every start of the year shanty boasts about there upcoming rise up the ladder, havent seen it happen yet. kluzek will definately help with more recruiting but until game 1 its hard to believe that youll win enough games to play finals.

youd have to admit that other than a win against barker away shanty will struggle to win away from home, as is always the case. also id think that lofty, uris, onkas atleast would knock you of at home so as i see it that leaves you with about 5-6 wins at best dont think 5th team will have under 7-8. although with birdwood coming up every team may automatically get two wins, unless they have improved dramatically from their 5th finish in div 2 last year.

any posters on here from cabbage land, if so hows the recruiting going after all the departures this year??

Rumor from Cabbage land is that due to the drought, there are no cabbages for player payments in 2007.

The drought will no doubt also affect Handorf as there will be a shortage of sauerkraut for ze chermans.

depends what you classify good as ss. i believe that shanty will be more competitive and that they may get away with 5 or 6 so wins which will be close to finals contention. i never said that they will be dominating and win the flag. even if they do go well ss u will just come up with another alias.
