Not sure if 'Wazza' saw any of Ian Callinan's game but surely 26 possessions and 3 goals can at least get you in the top half a dozen players?

Good summary readand black.

I don't know about the tactics of flooding from the start of a game. Just dumb I reckon. maybe flood if you can get in front but flooding from the start is like conceding that you can't win but want to cut the margin of the loss down. Loser tactics
We used to be good :-(

very soft reports as well

Considering the two incidents involving West Adelaide players in the league game that went unreported were far worse than the two reported incidents in the reserves.

Another loss to the Doggies reserves, after leading by as much as 5 or 6 goals in the second half from memory.

West kicked 5 goals to Central's 1 in the last quarter to pinch the win by 4 points in a great fighting comeback.

RESERVES FINAL SCORES:

WEST: 1.4 - 2.6 - 4.8 - 9.10 (64)

CENTRAL: 1.5 - 4.6 - 7.8 - 8.12 (60)

Marc Borholm, Simon Munn and Chris Bonney all kicked 2 each for the Bloods and then singles each to R.Blesing, Keough and Ward.

Mitch Frail booted 3 goals, Damian Hynes 2, Edmead, Dunne and big Sutherland kicked 1 each for the Dogs.

Central still had a chance to get the win in the dying moments but Luke Barmby tried to do too much and got pinged for holding the ball at the top of Central's 50m arch (he had a team mate on over the top free) but tried to take on Tom Langford, who laid a superb tackle to win the free kick, West Adelaide re-gained possession and soaked up the last minute for the great win.

Not the last time Barmby has tried to attempt more than what he can handle. Certainly not one of my favourite CDFC players.

as mentioned earlier that central 'only' won one quarter of football however that is not a true indication of the day, west did the ultra flood & with no ruckman i can understand that to a degree but it does not give them any chance of winning imho (how many times did west get a turnover around half back ran to the wing & had not one player within 70 metres of their goal ?), anyway central did enough & were in control for the entire match, i thought the intensity of both teams & the niggle was great & i noticed mr gowans (can't remember which one as they look alike   ) chased & reminstrated with willits after 2 seperate incidents & i was impressed that when he got to him he didn't give a 'cheap shot' from behind, but reminstrated eyeball to eyeball & big willow surprisingly didn't want anything to do with him

westies are going to struggle without a ruckman & if they continue the ultra flood we saw today they'll struggle to kick a winning score

Well, the only time I can recall any cheap shots from the boys was when they belted Schubert, as payback. here we go again.

How did Sutherland go?? He goes pretty well for us in the RFL.

Here we go again is right. There's rarely any such thing as flooding any more. I took particular notice of Central's tactics at various times and there were often 16 or all 18 in West's forward line. Have a look at West's offensive stoppages in the third quarter, with nearly all players around the ball.

Áll players are expected to run hard and help the defence when their side doesn't have the ball. It looks like flooding when the forward line isn't productive. Yesterday West were without half of their regular defence - Ferguson, Fisher and Green who all started against Sturt, as well as Chris Chubb. Central were far too experienced and too good yesterday, but West's defence was excellent, with Jarrod Silvester and Adam Hartlett outstanding. With no regular ruckman as well to go against the admirable Jason McKenzie, West were always going to struggle to attack fluently.

There were two reports in the Reserves game. Was it the same Centrals player reported for both incidents?

PS: Sutherland went quite well in the 2's.
