Decided to make a move, bit of a strange feeling when Ive got nearly a full squad on the park but its too good an opportunity to not take advantage of and get closer to the ideal team.

Out - Trengove (reckon he is done for the year)
In - Gysberts

Out - Maguire
In - Hodge

and still some $$ in the bank for my next upgrade target

No worries with him i dont think! I am sure he will play. No way would they drop him after his two games since debuting.

Also remember Sylvia is named in the squad, who surely can not play after spending the week in hospital. They will go in with one ruckman more then likely aswell IMO so Johnson wont be in the squad, frawley to replace Garland. Gysberts will play!

Well, I've either pulled the move of the season or I've shot myself in the bollocks. I've traded Mayne out for Leon Davis. Now Davis is not the most consistent player but he's better than what he has returned so far this season and I'm tipping his recent demotion (because of a 'calf injury' apparently) will give him a much needed boot up the arse.

In any event Mayne hasn't kicked on like I thought he might of this year but he has managed to earn me about a hundred K and I would've taken Davis over Mayne at the start of the year. I now have to wait and see if Leon can continue to turn around his season to follow up his hundred of last week.

Gysberts might play this week but I reckon he won't have good job security for the rest of the year. Get him only if you haven't used too many trades. As for Trengove being done Dutchy I'm not so sure of that. He'll get the week off next week and I reckon he'll get more games than Scully and Gysberts. Also look out for McKenzie and Rohan Bail to compete for these spots. I wouldn't go near any of the Dees young midfielders - Danny Hughes has burnt me enough already in the forward line.

Gysberts will play and after seeing him last week will play as much as Trengove will for the rest of the season. Holding Martin, Bastinac and Trengove in the midfield so one had to be downgraded to get some cash in the bank, initially it was Martin that was going to get traded but just think him and Bastinac have the stronger bodies and will push thru the flat part of the season, not so convinced with Trengove after last week.

Calculated risk I know but at the end of the day Ill only be playing one of Martin, Bastinac or Gysberts barring injury. Reckon there will be little difference if I held Trengove, plus Gysberts might be a nice cash cow to use going into the finals if he burns. The upside is the trade lets me get Hodge which should add to the bottom line...

Hit by injury to Phil Davis, Higgins, Hawkins and Maguire so had to make some trades. Maguire out for Henderson and Hawkins out for Chapman.

I made this move (forget whether SC, DT or both) about a fortnight ago and whilst quietly confident, was just as quickly shattered with his output ... That said, he showed a little delicousness last week and maybe he's not far away from getting his funk back??

With Martin and Bastinac still on your bench I think these are really good moves. Hodge is a must have this year. Pity you didn't start him at $480K but you can't change that now.

I'm wary of Gysberts. Rumour is he sustained a bit of a knee injury (spent a fair bit of time on the bench in Q4 vs Carlton). With him on the extended bench and them having the Monday game they'll give him every chance to recover, but for me it's not worth the risk ATM. I've already been burnt by bringing in JKT for Shuey, don't wanna be burned again.

Considering the Higgins to Davis trade too.

Reckon I might just hold off on trades this week though, should avoid a donut thanks to Higgins' MPP status.

the PR's-
In: Angus Graham (Rich)
Out: Jolly (Coll) bad form

other leagues-
In: Hodge (Haw)
Out: Birchall (Haw) was unlucky- Hodge upgrade was a no-brainer.

In: Greenwood (NM), Waters (WCE)
Out: Maguire (BL), Broadbent (PA) Injured/Dropped

I had to trade really. I am already playing Jack Watts on the ground but he beat Higgins last week anyway. I'm hoping that Watts can get me 50. I couldn't afford to have Watts AND a donut and I wasn't going to trade but Mayne and Higgins are out this week. I kept faith in Higgins and traded out Mayne. My forward line will look reasonably good on paper but with a few inconsistent types in Davis and Rioli. I could get a huge output from them one week and bugger all the next. Really need a lift from Goodes and ROK though.

ROK showed signs of improvement last week, had 40 points at quarter time and thought he was back!

Agree with Goodes, he has been painful, persist or trade out for someone like the Pav is the question Ill face next week

Exactly. I reckon Dutchy should trade Bastinac for Gysberts then he has Trengove and Gysberts for added security. Dutchy's gone the dollar $igns. ;)

I did the same trade last week in DT.
Leon is capable of big scores, more so than Mayne, so I think he was value at the time of purchase.

Who should i get rid of?

Ballantyne Av.75 365k

LeCras Av.70 351k

Whoever i keep i would want to keep until end.
This a downgrade as i'm bringing Dangerfield onto ground.

Ballantyne is up and down, can pull big scores.
LeCras has been more Mr.Average all year.
