Great player in his day, has put abit on now, little keg on legs! Still has a mouth on him, hate playing against him!

Played his 100th game for Waikerie a couple of weeks ago. Rumour has it,he is putting together a book on the best bakeries in S.A. Apparently he only has a few left to visit over the Ceduna way, which he plans to do after the season. The book should be out just in time for xmas.A great present for you Bum crack?????

U leave the little Clones alone. One of the best players I have seen play in the RFL and a great bloke to boot. When he was in his prime, there was no equal. Everyone talks about little bro Damien, but Clones was all over him in his prime.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep

BSR, Robertstown or Sedan-Cambrai?

There's a fair argument to say that Robertstown as a club has died. Eudunda has basically swallowed them up and football being played in robertstown is probably a thing of the past.

Sedan have more sides, so you could argue they are better off, yet they are probably not as good-a-fit in their new league, and will find it challenging in years to come to compete, I'm not sure their finances are where they need to be to become and remain competitive.

BSR has lost 2 sides, but maintains a link to the netball club, and appear to have found themselves in a competition which is a good fit for them. they will find it harder to attract city or barossa players, but if they align tightly with the riverland there is no reason they cant thrive given their strong junior list.

Only time will tell on Sedan/BSR though.

I can't comment on the fortunes of Robby/BSR but Sedan is playing a higher standard of footy than before and has attracted players without spending cash. Next step is to spend some cash to match the lower ranked clubs. There is no doubt that without injuries and unavailabilities scorelines against Meadows, Nairne and Maccy would have looked better. Hopefully with an earlier start on next season, improvement will be seen. But as was said above, only time will tell. The biggest obstacles are the population bases they have to compete against and the cash available in those communities.

Is there any truth to the rumour that a few of Barmera's recruits may be heading back to Port Distrcits before the June clearance deadline???

Hopefully all is well - neck injuries are scary.

He's Ok - should be able to play after the bye
Interesting that Loxton FC doctor was there on the day but never came onto the oval until the ambulance arrived then proceeded to offer advice
:?
There was about 15 min between when it happened and the ambulance arriving

There was a lengthy wait for a stretcher and some help when Mathews (i think) from Barmera-Monash B grade got knocked out cold.
I think he was okay, came around shortly after getting him into the rooms.
A bit worrying that it seems there was a search for a stretcher. Held the game up for a while.

It happens quite often around the Riverland that the stretcher isn't ready.
We've been guilty of it at times out at Paringa.
Really, it should be ready to go for every home game.

Yeah, it's not good. If he plays well, he will be playing there for the rest of the year. Big loss for Berri.
