Mid Season.

Pooraka 8-1 Bulls are a quality side & would be very suprised if they dont finish on top of the ladder -Premiership Favourites.
Golden Grove 7-2 Kookas are travelling along nicely another 5 wins they will secure that double chance.
Westminster 6-3 Dragons need another 5 wins & they will be playing finals this year.
Fitzroy 5-4 Lions have been the highest scoring side so far but points against is also huge need 5 wins for finals & 7 to push for top 3.
Greenacres 5-4 Dragons have lost their way recently maybe the team to drop out if dont reverse their form of late but hard to beat at home when the wet sets in.
Pultney 5-4 Blues needed that win to stay in touch with the top 5 & for them to play finals will need 6 wins.
Unley 4-5 Jets we can not right off yet either but 6-7 wins will be a tough ask to play finals.
Sailsbury 3-6 Magpies have found some form again but cant see them making it also need another few wins to avoid going down.
Sailsbury West 2-7 Tigers ahve some work to do to stay up in Div 4 next year but have a young side so u never know..
Woodville South 0-9 Cats at their best could match it with most sides but unfortunately cant get their best on the park & need 5 wins not to be relegated.
IT'S US AGAINST THEM!!!

Yes folks thats 5 clubs in 2 seasons + 8 weeks, and none of them recognise a good footballer, you do the math

And the sad truth is he can play a bit ,,, now where does the problem exist...obviously with the clubs

Buyer Beware

To be honest we aren't overly fussed. The jury was out on whether he would fit in and we feel we dont really need him at the moment. So Greenies not clearing him was a blessing in disguise and we'll thank them later in the year ;)

Let's get this right "choccies" Greenacres have at no stage said they won't clear him and when he is financial "$50" he is clear to go where ever he wants, the problem is no one will pay $50 for this guy and he sure won't pay it himself. Only Thursday night I heard coachs spoke between greenies and fitzroy and robbo was driving the $50 up to greenies to be cleared due within half hour... Guess what, no show... Perhaps it was better spent on something else on the car ride.

I didn't notice him that much except for when he was telling off teammates and we didn't even tag him. Skobes (before he went off) and Pup were more damaging.

State of the tips at the midway mark of the season. I've culled from the list all those that haven't tipped since Round 2. Those that have missed more than 3 weeks are listed separately. Missed tips are listed in Red and are the score for the away teams.

can tell Coops can play and will be important. Not sure how fit he is and no doubt just fitting into there structure. But agree with LB others were better. Unley are a good side no doubt great off the deck, clean hands.

griffen... maybe get this right. I haven't for once said anything negative about Greenies not clearing him. The club is well within it's rights to not clear someone for whatever reasons they have and I think it's good that your club has stood by its principals on this one.

He told us that too and we never heard or seen from him afterwards so the story is closed and we all move on. I think the good thing about this little excercise is that all clubs will be very wary of him and won't go near him with a barge pole.

The ladder at the half way mark makes for a great 2nd half of the season. Going to be tough to get a spot in the top 5. pooraka are safe and you would think GG are almost there.

For the rest of us its a dog fight. Cant wait

My Mid Season.

Pooraka 8-1 Bulls are obviously looking the goods at the moment. A well balanced, tough side who can both score well and defend well. They are hard to beat at home and appear to have a bit of depth and experience.
Golden Grove 7-2 Burras just going along OK and improving each week at this stage.
Westminster 6-3 Dragons appear to be up and down depending on injuries and have probably surprised a few by winning some they shouldn't have but then losing some they shouldn't have as well !! With a near to full squad they should continue to win their fair share of games and play finals which is a good effort in their first year in the division.
Fitzroy 5-4 Lions have no trouble scoring goals but have a defense that leaks just as many. They should still win the majority of their home games but will need to steal a few away. Fitness and lack of run could hurt them on the bigger grounds
Greenacres 5-4 The boys from Grand North Acres will have an interesting second half to the year. A bit up and down at the moment and consistency is what they are looking for. Have had the odd games where they just dont turn up and get smashed so their ability to halt that should see them in the 5.
Pultney 5-4 Even though the Blues impressed me with their in and under pack work and clearances I think their reliance on too few will see them just miss out on the finals. They definitly have a solid base to build on but their lack of depth may hurt them.
Unley 4-5 I think the Jets may once again miss out on the finals but remain in the division once again which is amazing really. They have a pretty fair side but struggle a bit for depth and experience as well and with Cox in and out (pardon the pun) they will struggle more often than not
Sailsbury 3-6 Magpies have found some form again but cant see them making it also need another few wins to avoid going down..... Yeah. What he said.
Sailsbury West 2-7 The young lads out at the Tigers will continue to have a dip as they did against us on Saturday but I cant see them staying up sadly for them. Those young kids played well out of their weight division but sadly will lose more than they win. But watch them in Div 5 next year if they can retain that squad and generate some depth.
Woodville South 0-9 Cats are gawn. Not alot left there sadly.

Was out at Fitzroy v Pulteney

Fantastic game......one of the best I have seen this year. Ian Perrie was unstoppable. They look for him constantly (as you would). Chris Barrie is a gun in tight traffic!.

Was an amazing finish. Fitzroy marked the ball about 35 out with about 8 seconds left. The handball was then given to Mitchell on his own in the square. Unfortunately it was to his left a bit and on the half volley and it spilled over the line just as the siren went. Footy is a game of centimetres!

Hart must get back as a regular if the Roys are to win finals.

I personally thought it was an awesome game. It was close the whole game. No one had it won until the last quarter... and with greenies having 'the wind' in the last it took alot of fight from the salisbury boys to keep the lead.

Speaking of fight... there were a few heated exchanges of words, nothing too bad... except when i was rather close on one occasion and tried to give water to our player and he took the bottle with him into the 'discussion'... hahaha

After the game though i now know why people always go on about greenacres hospitality... Amazing!

...and i cant post without talking about girls footy 8) ... it was great to see some of the greenacres lady footballers out supporting the boys :-)
