Any value here considering McDonald is not going and is still in this market?

Top Goalscorer - Australia

Tim Cahill 3.75
Josh Kennedy 4.00
Scott Mcdonald 4.50
Harry Kewell 5.00
Brett Emerton 7.00
No Goals Scored By Australia 8.00
Marco Bresciano 9.00

Unfortunatly i think that maybe the value, both Germany and Serbia have world class defenders and base there games around extremly strong defences.

Still question marks over the fitness of Kennedy and Kewell and with no McDonald that leaves to much reliance on Tim Cahill.

I hope im wrong but i wouldn't be surprised if we come out with a duck from the world cup.

Surely Cahill would be the only one you could seriously consider...

Guessing its highest scorer just out of that lot?!

Cos think the stat before NZ game is 6 out of last 7 goals have been from defenders!

Dario Vidisic more of a chance then some in there

Not so sure Kennedy has scored plenty of goals for Australia - he is so tall and scores plenty of header goals. Saying that Cahill has made the header goal his own this season in the EPL.

Can't see that being correct... I think Cahill scored 2 or 3 times in the Asian Cup....

I think Australia may struggle to score more then 2-3 goals for the tournament. Therefore there might be some value if you can get on a defender.

Does Moore still take our penalties..?

I don't mind Emerton's odds.
He pops up for a goal pretty regularly I reckon.

Grouped all group favourites to progress to the knock out stage:

France, Argentina, England, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Brazil, Spain

$5 @ 2.60

Quinellas: (Both sides to progress to knockout)

England/USA - $5 @ 1.7
Italy/Paraguay - $5 @ 1.65
Spain/Chile - $5 @ 1.63

Also gone a bit crazy on the golden boot - per the world game forum.

Pretty good offer from centrebet I would've thought

Get behind the Aussies...get a 2nd bite of the cherry!

The World Cup is almost upon us & here at Centrebet we're getting right behind our boys in South Africa...we're giving you no excuse not to do the same! Back the Aussies to qualify from the Group Stage of the World Cup & if they come 3rd in Group D we'll refund all losing bets!

TO QUALIFY
GERMANY 1.25
SERBIA 1.80
GHANA 2.15
AUSTRALIA 2.80

First Game Up South Africa vs Mexico

Head-to-Head
South Africa 2.88
Draw 3.20
Mexico 2.50
Think the Draw here is a bit of value. Host nations generally do pretty well at World Cups including South Korea and Japan making the semis. South Africa is an average side but first up think they will do enough to hold onto a draw
my prediction= 1-1

Head-to-Head
Uruguay 3.75
Draw 3.20
France 2.10
France were lucky to scrape through the qualifiers while Uruguay were fairly consistent performers in probably the toughest qualification zone. Both teams are near to full strength but France are big stage performers.
my prediction= France 2-0

Head-to-Head
South Korea 2.80
Draw 3.10
Greece 2.62
Hard to split these two sides, South Korea have made a WC semi and Greece who won the European Cup qualified through a tough European Group, both sides play total opposite football. South Korea a quick temp attacking game while Greece through men behind the ball and play a slow tempo defensive game. I think they may cancel each other out.
my prediction= 0-0

Head-to-Head
Argentina 1.50
Draw 4.00
Nigeria 7.00
Hard to go past the Argies but in saying that they have lost early WC Cup games to African nations before. Nigeria will have one of the largest supporter groups at the world cup but that won't be enough to ge them over the line. Should be one of the most entertaining games from the first round
my prediction= Argies 3-1

I always have to laugh come this time when all the talk is always around England, how they will win, the bookies taken big bets on them and they always fail.

People get sucked into the strength of the Premier League in which many of the top players are non-english, their defence is very suspect and their GK are poor.

The only reason they are at 9s is all the English ex-pats etc throw coin on em...

11th June tips:
1.5units - France win @ $2.20 (S)
1.25units - South Africa win @ $2.88 (SB)

Although France have struggled in qualifying, they were finalists last time around and the odds are hard to go past for them. Everybody should be going for Bafana Bafana tonight. The crowd will be deafening and they have had not been play to bad in the lead up. Can see them snagging an oppourtunist goal and holding on for maybe a 1-0 win.

Night 1
Uruguay had a strong qualifiaction process, have played well recently.
France struggled in Qualification, have struggled in recent friendlies
Mexico are ranked 18 in the world, strong qualification in CONCACAF, been very good under new coach Aguierre and very organised team. South Africa ranked 85, automatic entry, will have the world behind them no doubt but can't see them winning, maybe sneek a draw.

1 unit - Uruguay (Draw No Bet) @ 2.50
1 unit - Mexico (Draw No Bet) @ 1.72
