Went out and watched the game. What was going on in the last quarter you guys looked like you just lost the plot. Two yellow cards, constant back chat towards to umpires (although they were terrible for both teams IMO), only a few players were doing this but it really let your team down at the crucial stage of the game.

Also wanted to ask a question. Is everyone happy with the player/coach up there (i think he is the player/coach but not 100% sure)? He got yellow carded in the last and as he was coming off the ground a player from Paralowie yelled out something like "Great leadership" and then after the game someone (assuming this same person player/coach) gave an almighty spray in the change rooms that spectators from your club that were standing outside didn't look or sound to impressed with. Whats your thoughts?

Great win by the Farmers. Last win was Round 15 26 July 2008 when they beat Blackfriars. So, it's actually been 672 days since the last win and that's a long time. I believe only 4 of the players that played Saturday have previously sung the club song in a winning A Grade game.

Let's hope they don't have to wait another 672 days, because that's 1 April 2012!

They probably are still celebrating, I can remember in the late 70's or early 80's Border Downs FC (from Coonalpyn) had their 1st win for 2 1/2 seasons against Meningie, that night back at the clubrooms it was just like a GF celebration.

Great win by the Farmers on sat, could this be things to come?,as they have been around the mark on 2 or 3 occasions. Its amazing what a win can do for a young team.Saw the game against Paralowie the Farmers had a couple of 16yr lads who will be guns in a few years, things may just be looking up! ;)

I can assure you all that Ingle Farm are not getting carried away with the win - although a mad monday sounds pretty bloody good to me :P

The win though i will say was an amazing feeling for the club, finally it feels like so much pressure has been lifted, and the emotion that was felt by the players after the game definately resembled a grand final win thats for sure.

Its not easy going out each week and getting smacked around, then having to put up with the constant sledging and bagging that has happened over the past couple of seasons, then have to try and bring yourself back up to try it all again the week after and stay positive.

Im not suggesting either that Ingle Farm will now go crazy and just start winning every game either, but i think finally the improvements that are being made are now reflecting on the scoreboard and in results.

When was the last time Henley struggled to fill their D grade side? Only had 16 on the weekend.

Could become a regular occurence with news that a bunch of the A Graders are heading overseas for a few weeks, forcing them to pull blokes up through the grades.

Raeger, Hawksworth, Smart, Sandercock, Sanderson, all good young kids coming through and with the new coach coming in 6 months early they might not lose to much interest.
As for celebrations, i hope a lid was kept on it a bit, Mitchell Park as your only scalp in nearly 2 years isn't that huge an acheivement. Stay out of div 7 then party on

Sharks forfeited a game in the D's, for the only time I can remember in the 16 years I've been at the club, last time they were in Div 6 in 2005. Still almost made finals that year, just had the usual mid-season drop-off. Next month might be tough but if they stay around the five, blokes will start rocking up again.
