Pretty sure we do still play for it, and i'd say after our last year in Div 1, that Gepps would have that trophy......

TT it is in the hands of a very capable Ram, it is our intention for it to remain in our keeping as we are about to replace the "ribbons". When it was won back by us in 2008, the ribbons had gone missing.
Maybe FE struck troubled times! ;)

Well done Broadview, certainly showed the Rams how footy should be played in wet & slippery conditions.
Far too strong and played sensible, percentage footy as a team with the desire to achieve the result they did.
Gepps Cross, well they have far too many hurdles to jump to expect to play in finals this year. The club needs to start working towards 2011 immediately, find some players who will play as a team and not as individuals and a few more who will put their head over the ball when it gets a bit tough. At the moment, too many looking for cheap, easy kicks and I reckon the coaching panel could do with some lessons in sensible team selection and position placements when needed.
IMO, only 5 could say they made a solid contribution over 4 quarters, Stengle, Hudson, both outstanding, Rose, Hand & Blakemore were solid all game, the rest could well leave their envelopes either in the safe or donate them back, they weren't earned with that performance today.

US, didn't see it so "can't comment". Is that the impression given by the speaker or the way you 'interpreted it'?
A lot of hard work to do in the remainder of the current season.

Ace, I only got to catch the last half. Broadview looked the goods in the 3rd, skills were cutting Gepps X up through the middle, even in the conditions. Oval looked to hold up not too bad though. Last 1/4 was a bit luck luster, looked like both teams knew the result. Must comment to your above post, i did hear a bit of bickering in the Gepps forward line in the last 1/4. Bit more than just a passing comment too, wouldn't be happy to hear that stuff coming from our guys.

Broadview oval is always in good nick, no exception on Saturday. I reckon I could give you half a dozen names of where that was coming from and be correct on every occasion, this is what I'm talking about and it's time someone put an end to it.............. but it appears noone is game enough!

If he could play as consistently and as often as he can "mouth off", he wouldn't be playing SAAFL, he'd be in the AFL
