Now that Myke Cook is lining up for South, I'm tipping the Panthers.

James Boyd to face his former club, in the magoos...

To be honest, no surprises there from my point of view...

Reichert named at CHB is a surprise to me. I expect Hardy and Lawry to share the key big duties though. So with Milne coming in for Griffin, Hardy and C Gowans I'd expect to play that leave Habel to miss out unfortunately. He's been a good performer for us this season. More of a case of being forced out by someone more worthy than the coach having to try someone else IMHO. Having said that though, the dogs normally only name a squad if there's a doubt over a player's availability so there might be a fitness test this week.

I think you will find a player named in the starting 18 is actually slightly injured and won't play Habel should be safe.

Myke Cook must be one hell of a player then if his inclusion is going to mean a Panther upset win!

I will be interested to see how both crows listed forwards Henderson and Gunston perform in the same line up. Both have played well recently for the Dogs but have played very deep in the forward line. With both in the side one will probably have to play further up the ground which i think will be Gunston. At various stages they may swap as well.

Am interested because if we cant fit room for both in the league 21 we may lose one to another SANFL club, as both have proven they can perform at League level i can't imagine the Crows would want either one to be spending alot of time in the reserves.

Hopefully NFC didn't put his house on this game as Cook is an 'in' for the Cows.

South paying $11 out of interest...

$11 is very good value. I think the Panthers will hit back hard following last weeks effort, and if the Dogs aren't fully switched on I see this game being a lot closer than some may expect.
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.

Gets more interesting when D Schell and M Westhoff get considered for selection. Not to mention Havelberg down the track might come into consideration. I noticed an extra Westhoff named in reserves so I take it Matt is returning this week. Unless there's a Westhoff I didn't know about. Lol.

I think Henderson has the ability to play as a flanker, in fact I think he's more suited to playing on a flank than as a key. But with Lawry, Hardy and Hayes working well as the 3 talls down back last week, you'd think Schell, Westhoff, Gunston, Henderson and Havelberg are fighting it out for 3 spots, maybe 4 at a pinch.

Is this the first time they've played in the same team?

And I'll be heading to this game to do a bit of Myke Cook scouting, hopefully it's an entertaining game. 8)

What the heck, seems Cook isn't playing now, just read the Advertiser.

Wondering if I should still go? I would like to see Gunny and Hendo.

Yeah, Gunston debuted in Centrals league vs Sturt when Henderson debuted for the crows vs W.Bulldogs?

Then Henderson was injured and came back last week vs Eagles while Gunston debuted for the Crows vs Brisbane

this is why appointing Ron was the right choice for South

he has never been shy of promoting the young kids

anyone going to the game tommorrow have a good look at Carter in the reserves

a likely type

TODD McKay becomes South Adelaide's youngest-ever League debutant when he takes the field against Central District tomorrow.
At 16 years and four months, McKay takes the record from Wayne Slattery, who debuted at 16 years and five months in April, 1977.

South Adelaide football manager Neill Sharpe said McKay had made a rapid rise through the ranks in 2010.

``Todd hasn't played Under 18s, he's played Under 16s (this season),'' Sharpe said.

``He came into the Reserves, played two games in the Reserves and he's in the League team this weekend.

``We had someone pull out at the last minute a couple of weeks ago and he came into the Reserves against Sturt.

``He made that transition rather easily. His form was good again last weekend.

``We've got quite a few injuries so we've given him an opportunity.''

He said the 170cm onballer would be tested in cauldron of the centre square at Elizabeth.

``We'll give him an opportunity on the ball tomorrow. Out at Elizabeth you need to run as many players as you can through the midfield, so he'll play through there.''

Williamstown (VFL) recruit Dylan Joyce, 20, will also make his debut tomorrow and Taylor Whitford, 18, has been promoted to the 22-man squad.

The Panthers have lost experienced Michael Handby (hamstring) and omitted Sam Livingstone.
