Cmon there is no excuse to be suspended let alone reported more that once in a season! All these excuses and poor player etc etc seriously! play the footy and stop trying to be a hero and you wont need to worry about getting reported and risk being deregistered FFS

=D> =D> here here

In nearly 20 years of amateur footy I recieved 2 games for umpire abuse.
If people can't go their footy life staying under 12 games suspension they've only got themselves to blame(especially if they have fronted up multiple times) Play the footy, keep your mouth shut pretty simple.

That incident still makes me laugh - and it wasn't us that complained - it was the Portland supporters sleeping off the Woodstock & Colas under the tree that got upset

possibly, possibly not - but he'd have to be a bit silly to risk doing anything that may risk the tribunal's ire

must of been a verbal barrage of obscenities to get 10 or was it perhaps racial, sexual or threatening abuse?

Without knowing the details is does sound fair....the other option is to not abuse the umpire in a way that would have him report you and have the book thrown at you once your infront of the tribunal. With that done it becomes very important for him to keep himself clean from this point forward otherwise he is going to have to take a bit of a drive if he wants to play footy on Saturdays.

Seriously though im not sure what you could say to an umpire that would deserve a 10 match ban short of a threat of physical violence?

One for the 'Other Matters' section...

From todays Footy News from the SAAFL

"Cheryl Tavasci is currently the only club President in South Australian Amateur League Football; one of the few in its 100 year existence"

That's funny, I thought that there might have been a few more Club Presidents in the league...

Now female Club Presidents might be another story though... ;)

The story was done in the Footy Budget 24 hours earlier and - Bingo - here we go again with another idea used by the boys in the bunker
