Strathalbyn must have been fairly disappointing to get touched up like that in a preliminary final. While I'm sure that the Creeks were the better side, was it just a case of a real good day for them and a real bad one for Strath?

Observer, do you know much about Victor Harbor's new coach, Stephen Saunders? Do you think he'll be a good fit for the Roos?

Any other coaching appointments in the GSFL that you're aware of?

Micheal Saunders is the new coach of Victor I think
He coached Mt compass some time ago little success
he then coached Reynella but was booted out
Then at Port Noarlunga in 98/99 with a side that won a grand final in 97
This side was the best in the league but bombed out in the two years he was there
Coached South under 19s as well
his son played at south cleared to Glenelg this year but also lined up with Langhorne
If Victor have money he has some contacts I think may struggle
I hope I got the right Saunders

Observer, how likely is it that Zac Ewer makes the move to the Roos, would be a handy pick up, reigning Mail Medalist in the RMFL with Jervois. I've heard he was on big $'s at Jervois.

Where is Lee Saunders likely to be playing next year, will it be with one of the GS clubs, do you know? Interesting to see you didn't mention him in your list, presumably hes going to have another go at Glenelg, i'm sure Victor would be targetting him given his connection with the new coach.

Zac Ewer is a class player I think he wont have all his own way in Gsfl which initself is a stronger league.
Lee is definetly training at Glenelg Will be interesting to see if the signed form comes in.

Although Victor is an option for Ewer my mail has him staying at Jervois along with Rigney as the coin these 2 are on will not be offered anywhere else. Joraslafsky brothers set to return to the Emu's though and Pittman heading the large list of players possibly heading to Victor from Morphett Vale. Roo's certainly are throwing some big money around in an attempt to rise back to their former glory days. What is the story behind their drop down the ladder in recent years?? Is it money or other issues .....no doubt they paid out big bucks to buy some premierships in the early 90's

Victor Harbor have money to spare as they missed out on Leigh Kruger. He is coaching Loxton A Grade in Riverland.

Whats the general feel about David Kelly stepping up to coach Yank? Will he be a playing coach? What is Greg Whittlesea doing these days is he still involved with the club?

I've heard that Encounter Bay is chasing an ex AFL player as their next coach, has played SANFL within last 3 years, and played in a lower level last year.

Also read recently that last years GF could have been very controversial if the Creeks won as apparently Lee Saunders wasn't "eligible" to play, so if the Creeks had stayed in front at the final siren, the result would have been subsequently reversed by the league.

Yank has always been pretty tight with its checkbook I doubt that they would have offered that amount a few years ago their highest paid player was getting $90 a game. David Kelly is a former best and fairest player with the club.
