Have tried to call telstra but being Sunday its all call direct to India and we know what thats like!

I think you should of left the sunday part out.

I updated mine today and havent got any issues. I am with optus though could be a telstra problem, but knowing telstra they would just say it's not there problem. Probably best to go into a shop and speak to someone direct, seems the only way to get anywhere with telstra.

Can't blame Apple for not coming up with anything revolutionary as I think all smartphones have just about hit a brick wall in terms of things they can do.

that is exactly my thoughts. what more could a phone possibly do in the future that it can't do now?

Went to the S3 today, best one yet. Screen size just about perfect for my needs and it's as quick as I could ask for.

got the iphone 5 eventually last week after optus stuffing me around. The only thing I really noticed when using it was quality of the screen it's crystal clear, battery life is better and it's very light. So this morning I decided I'd play around with my iphone4 and iphone 3 if I can see any difference. I can never remember the iphone 3 being that slow and the 5 is definately faster then the 4. The new sim is super small. The only thing i'm not 100% convinced on is the weight, I keep thinking i've lost my phone but i think I will get use to that.

My Samsung Galaxy S3 is 4 hours old.

Usually takes me 15 months to learn a new phone.

Replaces the Samsung5 which was a great phone of 10 months use.

Mrs_Dog_ger has had one for 6 months now and loves it.

Have the Mobiletek Samsung Galaxy S3 hands free installed in the Dog_ger Lexus. :D

Depends what you're after, even that review which is the only one in your favour you found (the many I haven't searched for but just stumbled across said the opposite) said "depending on how highly you value things like screen size, background multitasking, and maps".
I'd assume personalisation was a tie only because they took into account a jail broken Iphone, otherwise it would be the S3 by the length of Flemington straight.
And don't forget they should take off all the wins just for the very sake of having to use Itunes  , mind you I was suprised they called apps a tie as that's actually one of the few things I'd give in Apples favour, I suppose its a matter of quality v quantity but I do like the fact Apple quality control their apps to a degree.
Personally I highly value the background multitasking but the Iphone probably appeals to a person who can only do 1 thing at a time! ;)
At the end of the day they're both great phones none the less but the fact you can do a lot more things on the Samsung is the winner for me, except for batttery life as I've thrashed the crap out of it for 15 months (had the same issue with my Iphone) my S2 still does everything I need from a phone, ironically one of the only selling points for an Iphone for me in the past was the smaller size and heavier weight but they've now gone bigger and lighter like a Samsung. :(

It was the first review I found on google, and some of the others I have come across obviously haven't held or played with a iPhone 5 because some of there facts are completely false. Personalisation was only about the looks of the phone so covers ringtones and wallpapers. I also noticed that the samsung got the vote for operating features because of the malware and viruses. Multitasking doesn't bother me at all I've never needed to do it and never will as I have a life and friends and don't spend all my time playing with my phone and also If i need to do something I just ask siri to do it for me. The samsung could be a great phone but as long as andriod is open source it just doesn't come close to an iphone in my eyes. Having all you information stolen, bank account information or your phone completely stuffed because of malware isn't a good selling point.

I haven't looked at this aspect of smart phones as I'm much more cautious than to use them for that.
But are there not any anti-malware programmes or firewalls for Android devices?

No OS is hacking proof if there are enough users abroad to motivate someone to do it.
It is only the low percentage uptake that makes Mac computers relatively untroubled by virus and malware attacks, not any innate immunity.

there is anti malware programs but why should you have to use one, plus the effect of slowing down the phone and chewing through battery power. Yes no os is hacking proof but Apple do try it's best to make sure it doesn't happen and act pretty dam quick when it does. I don't know why you would want a phone that can do all these things but you have to be becareful as you may get malware.

Yeh I might be a apple fan boy, why because I like products that work like there suppose to work, which apple does and why there the biggest company in the world. Why would I need to multitask on a phone, the only time I can see it being useful is when updating or downloading apps an guess what doofus the iPhone does that. If your doing that much on your phone then obvisously you have no friends and spend all your time on your phone

If you need multitask then obvisously you are spending too much time on your phone. I still can't see where you would need to use multitask on a phone

Yep, cars and planes are an inconvenience that I use to show I have no life too, I'd have much more time to have a life if I walked and swam everywhere! Good one mate!

typical andriod malware loving fanboy make no sense in what your saying at all. if you think multitasking is so important then give me a example where it's that important you really need it.
