Read your policies people!
and to think Adelaide will NEVER flood, as the only threat to houses would be to those that live within proximity of the Torrens or a reservoir.
We're no Brisbane...
Sorry, what a dumb post.
So people should just assume that their house is covered just to save you answering a few phone calls???
Policy details are not easy to read or not readily available for some.
So if I pay around $1000 per year I'm not entitled to ring you???
And there are enough houses in Adelaide that can flood ... not as many in Brisbane but so what, losing your house is not something to @%#& with.
FFS.
Finished having a crack Dedha?

Each to their own mate but you've just accused me of not giving a shite and don't think for a minute I don't take this seriously, however, if people took the time to read policies they would have their answers - in plain english.
What Adelaide people fail to realise is that we don't live on the Great dividing range, we happen to live in the driest state in the driest country in the world so we are never going to be subject to anywhere near the amount of rainfall that Brisbane get, so bar those people that live on the Pat or by the Torrents or right next to a reservoir, your chances mass inundation Brisbane style is next to nix
Insurance companies send copies of policies and Product disclosure statements every year, which you should be keeping in a safe place as it is your proof of insurance, so yes, it should be readily available to you.
Mind you, I guess having people call and telling them they are covered is better than actually having a flood and telling people the're NOT covered. A girl that used to work with us moved to Brisbane and works for the RACQ. Her dept took 4700 calls the next day and by the end of the day she was in tears because she just had to keep telling people "sorry but we don't cover flood"
PS: Dedja - can I grab your number so I can call you and ask you the same question every 5 minutes. Not that it particularly gives me the shits but lets' face it, you'd find it a bit monotonus too after the first couple of days.
