Applyimg it consistently to the argument.

We start at no date. No Australian citizen is entitled to feel more Australian than any other, or take any extra ownership of this country.

The French PM probably feels different and I know I certainly do. But to comment is fraught with danger because it exposes the author to charges of racism which can never be defended in a Clayton's democracy such as what we have here

Darth,

1 racism is racism, it is easily discerned.

2 The French PM didn't write those words.

3 Perhaps you could tell us what our 'Clayton's democracy' is.

4 Nothing is stopping you defending your argument here. Nothing is stopping others pointing out the inaccuracies in your arguments.

5 Why are you reluctant to expose yourself to charges of racism? Has anyone on here accused you of racism? If they have, did they stop you disagreeing? Is it that you think you have racist views?

6 Seeing that you're a fan of the Bill O'Reilly 'no-spin zone', perhaps you can answer the above without spin.

There was a time when the sentiments expressed in the words wrongly attributed to M Fillon were used against immigrants from Greece and Italy. They were going to be the ruin of us.

It was then used against the Vietnamese immigrants. They were going to be the ruin of us.

Now it's another group.

I agree with your statement above.

I don't think the context of the message is tarring all at all.
To me it is aimed at selected group who want their own beliefs seen and heard yet deny to accept others and in fact then claim to be discriminated against..

"We will accept your beliefs without question.
All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in peaceful harmony with us.
This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, AND OUR LIFESTYLE."

And you are right, there are many that embrace both cultures here..[/quote]

'One may well ask;How can you advocate breaking some laws and obeying others?' The answer lies in the fact that there are two types of laws:just and unjust. I would be the first to advocate obeying just laws. One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws'

Well spotted, mick.

The letter is from someone who has just discovered that Monsieur Fillon just happens to agree with his views, so he's published the whole 'Fillon letter'.

Strange that The "Tiser hasn't sussed it ;)
