Agreed, at least Melbourne have a Vee but the rest are very generic.
Adelaide's would look much better with blue shorts too.
Always thought Spain were the best looking outfit in international soccer.

as Melbourne have adopted their V i would like to see Adelaide Unite possibly go for more of a SANFL state gurnsey, with the gold and blue V, would look much better, and not as generic as all the others then.

Nah, the soccer fans would just think the V stood for Victory and that we were ripping off the Vics.

They could wear red shorts and hooped socks in the North mould, since North have been referred to as the Reds in this state longer than they have the Roosters perhaps? :lol:

Seriously though, I never knew North were known as the Reds until I started on this forum :?

Really? The chants been around since the early 60s, I could hear the Grog Squad/Cheer Squad chanting it and people yelling it out from since Ive been going to games in the 70s, and yes, if you go back historically emblems like the Rooster was only adopted in the 2nd half of the 1900s although they were referred to as the Cock of the North and similar earlier on but were referred to as the Reds from quite on in their history.

Yep, if you read the old newspaper articles teams were often referred to by their colours. Torrens were often referred to as the blue and golds until taking up the Eagles nickname in the 50's.
