Well when you have crisis meetings about closing the doors (2004, trust me I was there) and I was also one of the 8 that regularly trained, win your first game for 3 years (Lynchy's first as coach 2005) and this year win 5 in the A grade, 6 in the B grade, have 10 players miss out each week, well then yeah I think we have improved. The A grade also led 4 or 5 games they should/could have won lost a couple by 3 points (Porties). For the record it was 2 positions.

I'm guessing plays tall that you are a past coach/player at Aldinga that thought the place would fall down when you left, sorry to say tiger we are improving, don't take it personally if we move on without you.

hey backy, i could be wrong, but i think plays tall was referring to me asking you if you were too embarrased to publicly declare that you follow brisane??

although, i very well could be wrong, as with one of plays tall's first posts on the forum, he has embarrased himself considerably.

leave eddy alone!!

ya gotta remember that sydney kings won a few championships in a row a couple years ago, and they also no longer exist. not much to do with the way a certain franchise is run, and more to do with the $h!t way the entire league is run.

From what i've heard, he got 3 or four blokes goin with him.....

Tim Rosewell - absolute gun. strongest hands i ever seen. massive unit.

Lee Blutcher - can play, but always injured

Shane Baldock - serviceable onballer, but got a bad knee?

and maybe Jeremy McComick? - good backman. thumping left foot on him.

they are just my opinions though mate.

Could be a lot of travel for big Timmy this year, living at Henley, working Aldinga and training at Onka's. Played association so not sure of his points worth to Onka's. Good luck to the boys, we pretty much knew they would go with Lynchy though.

yeah the T-Rock will be sadly missed by all at AFC.
Luckily we got some solid prospects on the horizon and with shrive on the ground we should play a handicap 16 man side

big question magoo, i'm guna handball this one off to backliner, rodney or young gun.

on saying that though, through bar takings, i'm trying my darndest to help keep the bar afloat!! although, the missus seems to think feeding our 2yo boy (future collingwood hall of famer, father-son draft pick) is more important than helping the club by buying beer and coke zero.

she gots to get her priorities straight, i rekon.

over to you rod, yg or backy....

Financial Situation?

I can assure you that the club is in good stead (simon ha ha) for the future financially. To be honest we were probably a bit slack on sponsorship last year and it hurt us a bit. New season ahead and the excitement around the place has secured some new sponsors and interest from outside the area, so things just on that front alone are looking tops. Then inject the bar takings and all is sweet. We are doing massive amounts of meals during the week that is helping and I can definitley say all looks good financially.

Its just the learning to play football bit we have to get right now.

Has the club thought about maybe lifting the price of these meals from the genuine 1970s prices of about $4 a meal? I remember training there for finals this year, and these meals smelt good and they were practically giving them away! I remember thinking to myself perhaps the SHRIVE was on to something...

Ha ha yeah they are pretty cheap. As Busta said they do the meals at what they want and we just work the bar and take that money. Just a good way of getting people into the club really.
