I don't disagree that Cooper is a good batsman. What has he done though? Why would you pick him ahead of Phil Hughes? Why would you pick Broad ahead of Phil Hughes? Can you provide a decent argument why you would pick any of the players you mentioned (apart from Katich, Hayden and Jaques) ahead of Phil Hughes?
