Not thinking to replace Punter but he will surely be around the mark in the next couple of years.
I didn't realise Hughes was so young,
He fits the bill perfectly
-young
-hitting shield runs
-already has a test hundred
-most of our greats have had to be dropped once before becoming complete test batsmen
-appears to have a decent work rate and is willing to learn and adapt.

Thank god he is gone.
Or should it be credited to the new head selectors.
Sanity finally.

Cowan
Warner- Hughes as an opener is knocking on the door, and may take his spot in the next test if he fails IMO.
Hussey- I still think Huss should bat at three, has all the experience in the world and is still good enough to bat at three.
Watson
Clarke
Khawaja- I think he should come in for Ponting and bat at six. Ahead of Ferguson for mine. I think Quiney should be considered aswell.
Wade
Johnson
Siddle
Starc
Lyon
The two left armers did enough for them to retain there spot IMO while Siddle being our best quick bowler to come straight back at the expense of Hastings. Hilfenhaus obviously in the mix aswell. If he wasn't injured Pattinson would be in my best eleven.

Have been saying that for awhile.
Push Watto to 4 and leave Clarke where he is.
