Not the reason it was pulled from production though wristwatcher.
The media manager and the CEO were somehow of the opinion that the show no longer had a following and was too costly to produce (at around $20k per year which included the DVD's that went out to clubs).
Lord knows how they came to that executive decision, seeing as there was no media survey of the clubs to determine this....
So this money has now been freed up will probably end up being divvied back to the clubs. A podcasted replacement, not unlike Rooster TV if anyone has seen it, is on the cards, although to my knowledge there has been no cost analysis of this and also have no format for this yet, even though we are only 4 weeks away from the season.
Further to this, Geoff Heard has come up with some hair-brained idea (no doubt at the request of the 2 above people) to spend an extra $50k so the Amateur League can have a FULL page of scores in the Sunday Mail each week, which will be available for all to see about 12 hours after you've seen them on the SAAFL website.You'll get to see your initial and everything
