To drop 3 grades lower than the grade you have played 2/3rds of the year in ??

What I think isnt relevant to the decision making process
I and others must make rulings based on the rules and in this case the rule is clear cut that the players can play - we cant over rule a rule just because we dont like it, imagine if we did I am sure PAOC would be quoting the rule at us saying we havent followed it

I know I keep going back to it but only the Clubs can change this type of rule through the rules & regulations process, which is done at the beginning of each year

This was one of the rules changed at the start of this year

I would like to congratulate paoc for playing by the rules, personally I think it is very honourable by the to take the right steps now early in the week, golden grove know who they are playing against why don't just put plans in at training tonight to try and stop their better players, use your energy that way boys, GAME ON...

Ok then so what was the reason the rule needed to be changed at the start of this season then? All I can see is this happening right from the start. If the rules are that clear cut, why did they need to apply for a clearance in the first place? Surely if it was as obvious as you say it is then PAOC should have just been able to play them? I would assume the SAAFL did not make this rule for this to happen?

I didn't ask if what you thought was relevant to the decision making process in regard to permits. I asked what was YOUR OPINION on the rule ??

well if your A's had done the right thing and won last week u'd be fine too ;)

sorry couldn't help myself. but in all seriousness. we're not trying to mess with the system these blokes have legitimatly come back from injury and need a game. we're just lucky enough to have everyone else already in a GF
So do we but we aren't blatantly cheating like that !! Waltham has played 12 A grade games so to prepare for his A grade finals he 'needs' to play a D grade game ?? Get yer hand off it.... Thats a crap rule and I dont care what piss weak crap Executive Member comes out with but thats a joke and if he is on the committee that approves those permits he should hang his boots up. Disgrace. :-q
Thanks for the vote of confidence there Choccies it means a lot to me ;)
Can I suggest that if you and your club are outraged by the rule then you speak to your Club Delegate who has the power to get it changed
It's not like we sat around and made the rule up all we can do is enforce it and like I said if you and your club feel that strongly about it then you have the power to change it
Clearly the rule wont be changed by Saturday and will not change the feeling that our players will feel for the rest of our lives of being cheated by the SAAFL if we lose on saturday.
Fair Dinkum you are carrying on a bit. How about yopu go out there and beat them? Teams do this every year. They are playing within the rules? This game is lost before you even go out there. Go on blame the SAAFL for it. How about you focus your energy on the game not what you cant control. Imagine the feeling if you win!

Turbo you idiot, you have to play FOR PAOC to get a "special permit", and you only qualify if you play As or Bs and want to play D-Grade this weekend

P.S. Jimmy can you explain why your club applied for permits for the 3 blokes for the 4th of September when the D-Grade was the only team playing? or are the permits continuous for the 11th?
