I was at the club when Daniel was interviewed and was asked about my thought's just after he'd left. I was under the impression that he must've done well in the interview and they were considering him.

he came to see me about what he should do due to the fact that when he was told the presentation night was coming up

i not only work and assosiate with him but also ex presidents of the clubs and several players and fathers and they all say the same thing
i agree its the clubs right to pick who they want and i have no problem with that but for me and the little i know to loose someone of his standing as a young family man,a person who has high ethical and moralistic views which he proves with his actions and willingness to help out has me bemused and confused
personally i would think that a club could not afford to loose someone like that
and the fact that players have also showed their absolute faith in him and ackowledged that by their approaches to him and his future plans shows that
and to think he was offered a great chance to learn at a good club under a great coach but knocked that back in the belief that he was wanted has made him well aware that you can never assume anything especially when they are only words

I don't know who told him he wouldn't get the job but he could have applied and made his case like the other applicants. If he felt he wouldn't get a fair go he could have spoken to the chairman about it. I still don't think he left on bad terms, no doubt he'll be seen around the club and I expect he'll be there at times this season if he has time. I would say that when a bloke shakes your hand and sincerely wishes you the best for the upcoming season that it's fair to call it good terms.

Seems that a certain Div 4 club last year stopped playing players and are refusing to pay them unless they sign on again for 2013

PS: and it ain't Hope Valley

I believe you were not in your current position at the time so maybe not all information has been passed on
he was told dont bother ,we have some one else in mind
he was not given options
i know all clubs are run by dedicated volunteers who love their clubs but unfortunately some become over indulged in their own importance and believe they have the power and the right to direct the club the way they want
sometimes they would be serve the club in the canteen or behind the bar or some other area and that would really help the club
personally i have nothing to do with the club but have taken a keen interst in it over the years and to have very capable and keen people with the right values to be pushed out of the club ,well i dont believe any club can afford to do that
as for the hand shake and well wishes lets just say that their is always three sides to a story
first persons story
second persons story
truth
i know what myself and many more believe
and i will leave it at that
we stand as one
we fight as one
we win and lose as one
we are one

I have plenty more on it, but I'm not about to name and shame.

Why's that?
