Told the umpys not to give him votes so he'll sneak under the AFL radar and we can keep him.

“Why am I not surprised a college side player won it....?”

Because a college player is educated, has a balance between life and work, understands the rules of the game, and accordingly can converse with an umpire in complete grammatical sentences that include words with more than one syllable.

This is why boozehound and others don't like college boys. Most of them are alright but everynow now and then an idiot(HI HO) comes along, makes a stupid comment and gives all of them a bad name.

How does that relate to one's football ability?

Yeah pretty much, we gotta win 2 of the last 4 and hope SPOC win no more. Woody South still have to play Westies so they might sneak another one in.

Whos looking the goods for the medal ya reckon? Cannane from Walkerville has been very good against us both times, might have 5-6 votes from those games alone.

Didn't rate him that much, I thought Menz was a very good player for Walkies. There's one or two blokes who would be a chance for us but I won't say who they are. The skinny dude for Flinders Park might be a chance to win it again, Frinsdorf from Iggies or Cattermole would be my picks. I'm sure there may be one or two from Eastern Park who would be in the running too but I don't read the Sunday Mail so I don't see the best players for other teams too often.

What a clown Hi Ho.

Your "assumption" that only college people are educated and able to string a few words together shows what a stuck up bunch of clowns most people from college sides are.

Completely correct shrek, exactly why college sides get up peoples noses.

Didn't notice frinsdorf at all this year however I am sure he was deserving. The fact that he sounds soft (judging from shreks comments) is a real shame....

Frinsdorf wasdeserving. HI HO is a tool, he'll be too embarrassed to come back for a while.

Back to more relevant matters, what did you think of my little joke a couple of pages ago boozehound?

Boozehound, my post was as amateurish and deluded as yours hence why I chose to post it.

"why am I not surprised a college player won it"

Frinsdorf is the first college player to win the d3 medal since 2003 when Sean tanner of PAOC took it home

2007 Kevin Hopper – Athelstone
2006 Matthew Jolly – Modbury
2005 Matthew Jolly – Modbury
2004 Tie between Trent Ormond-Allen of SMOSH West Lakes, Matthew Paul of Eastern Park
2003 Sean Tanner PAOC

"Got two votes and ROBBED ashby of the medal"

If you dont like the fact the umpires gave him 2 votes it is a tad unfair to accuse Frinsdrof of robbing the medal, how about being a little more pro-active and calling for the medal to be decided by coaches or players?
In my opinion Frinsdorf thoroughly deserved the medal as did all the other respective medal winners, call him soft if you like but having played along side him for many years I rate him as one of the hardest players I have played with and against. He took sides apart on many occasions this year despite being the target of snipers in nearly every match he played...I say the punishment he copped week in week out for being iggies most prolific ball winner is the hardest act a guy can do. To grab 2 votes in a side that lost by one point to Kilburn is a fine and deserving effort, had Iggies got over the line in that game one could easily question giving votes to Kilburn players.

Sorry HI HO had to correct that one.. I know it doesn't make any difference to the argument but.. oh, and SMOSH is actually classed as a college side, being St Michaels Old Boys... so I guess 2004 would be your answer, not 2003.

2004 was a 3-way tie between Ormond-Allen, Paul and Adam Virgin of Portland.

True Felch

So no favoritism can be argued for college boys there.

How was Tysons year this season FC?

Dunno, only saw a few games, but he'll always poll a few votes in the count, just cos he's Tyson...

Frinsdorf is an absolutely deserved winner. He had a most consistent season. He took over from Calabrese as captain when he went o/s so that probably helped his profile a little in the umpires eyes.

From Hi Ho's list of past winners, there are a lot of captains there (Hopper, Jolly, Burrows)...

I can't see any logic behind Boozehound's comment on a college player winning the medal- maybe he's just a little disappointed that Ashby didn't get up although I would have though he would be happy that he didn't win it. You wouldn't want Ashby's ego to get any bigger would you???

Would've thought Frinsdorf was a worthy winner, was probably unlucky not to poll a vote against us in Round 17, which would've almost sewn it up for him before the last round.

Calabrese going overseas did Frinsdorf the world of good, gave him the captaincy and the medal. :D
