A mate told me there was only 2 cars at the club at 7pm.
They must of struggled.

I might have been keeping an eye elsewhere but i didnt see much of the runner heading out to Bamford on Saturday? I still feel playing and coaching does not make much benefit.

Not making up rules as you go along would be even better. Every year and every time we play PH their ump is as good as it doesnt get. It just ruins the game.
The same thing would be said for the so called SAAFL umpires that were supplied. That old bloke was an idiot. The younger bloke wasnt much better.
Thought McCurry had a great game. Prior was great and Wareing was far too good for his opponent. Thought the run and carry was great to see. I havent seen the A's play for a couple of weeks. Only positives i can see is the leadership on the ground but if your not having a good game yourself it doesnt flow. All round a good day. PH supporters were grea. Low in numbers tahn what ive been used to. Next week will be a big one. Unpredictable but still can get up and about GG should be a good day for all three games.

If u have a good assistant on the sidelines and the players play the way you tell them I can't see a problem. And also if you play yourself in the right position so you can see the whole game then it can work beautifully. You just have to have that trust between yourself and your assistant.

The Pres is a passionate man, and he does get fired up about his footy. I didn't see what happened, but certainly heard about it.
Firstly - we've taken responsibility for what happened at our home ground when (in our opinion) the sirent went early. Our stuff up, and we paid the consequences.
But on Saturday, the first quarter was rediculously short. 3 minutes short according to our fully timed clock on the bench. So we sent over one of our officials to make sure the bloke was doing his job properly. He wasn't - he was only stoping the clock for goals, not boundry throw ins or when time on was called. Obviously we complained to him first, and the bloke replied "I don't care, I'm doing it my way!". Believe we complained to the match day official. Things obviously got rather heated, and eventually the bloke spat the dummy and someone else took over, doing it correctly for the rest of the game.
If you don't want fired up supporters and officials - can I suggest you get someone capable of doing a somewhat simple job, and someone who actually knows the rules (yes - aware of the irony).
As for the game - it was a good tussle all day. We missed our chances in the last with 4 behinds to SMOSH's 2 goals. Can't say I rated Camporeale's game - didn't think he had a huge impact. Appreciated the beers put on after the game. Looking forward to hopefully coming up against SMOSH in the finals.

I bet there were plenty of people standing around drinking beer and complaining instead of putting their hand up to do something useful for their club
Would have thought after the debacle last time between Mitcham and SMOSH played someone would have seen each team had an official timekeeper

Totally agree about PH b-grade umpire. Was disgusted with what I saw. Inventing free kicks to keep his team in the game and no regard for head high contact to opposition players. One of the worst I've seen.
