I have never said you guys were under-achievers.

We did spend 2001 to 2005 in D3, best finish was 6th i think from memory.

the fitzroy north haven game was a very good one!! propably the best i have seen all year.
roys were lucky to stay that close although. they had a very good day with the umps. their was a decision right on three qtr time when the ump gave haven a free right on the goal line but the roys player said he was holding me to so he decided to ball it up and there was a good fair bump on chad burke in the last qtr. he even told me it was fair that resulted in a goal.

haven had one on the bench for the last qtr with young tyson devries not taking the field after half time and the knee injury to lippo.
why didnt fitzroy man up daniel price (21) got about 35 kicks on the outside wing, and set up crucial goals.
but in the last qtr it came down to haven wanting the ball more. and not playing the man like the roys.

Best player in Div 4 by the length of the ground. Away from home I don't think the mighty Roys will trouble too many sides

i'm hearing the hood boys were a bit ordinary ( care to speak about their game )
junior hood was third best so dont know you heard from. both were tagged heavily. matt hood had number 11 from the roys scragging him all day but got away in the second half. and junior hood kicked a good goal in the last qtr when the game was up for grabs.
bucketts you should speak to other people

I think you are talking about Crispe, he was Unley's B grade coach last year - dont think he is playing this year. I actually thought he was their hardest player last year, sure he may have ruffled a few feathers, but he also was willing to put his head over the pill. Not a bad bloke either.

Fair descripition of Crispo by Felch and he isn't playing this year

so Tyson Devries was the player who spat it at half-time & walked off, or was that someone else?

heres a question for you felch. how do you know that sand man is telling the truth? he might be telling porky pies!

on the topic of the head count in the paoc vs portland b grade game last sat, i was of the belief that after a head count, one of the teams was to lose their score; either the team that has too many players on the field, or the team that called it. correct me if i'm worng. i do know that neither side lost their score.

was a cracker game in the a grade, with the lead changing throughout the game. portlands defence very disciplined and their midfield was harder at the ball than us. they repeatedly got numbers into defence and had players at the fall of the ball. our inability to close the game cost us dearly (obviously, coz we lost the game), but that can be expected when so many of the players have played in losing sides for most of the past 3 seasons. hopefully we learn from our mistakes and dont let it happen again. full credit to portland, deserved winners, even if their celebrations were a bit over the top. they are better than their ladder position suggests, wouldnt quite have them premiership favourites yet though. wait until after round nine before we start announcing 2008 premiers. not many flags are won in may!

there is no way in hell that the team calling for a head count would lose their score lmao

anyway the AFL has changed their rules.... free kick and 50m for an extra player now - wonder if the SAAFL will follow suit.

i think westsider is right
dont know if the saafl has followed suit if they did have to many players on.
but a 50M penalty was given to paoc for having the call counted and portland being wrong.

should there be some sort of repremand to paoc for them having a father run onto the field when a scuffle broke out????
get on board the thunder train!!!

Like i already said, i am sceptical of Sandman, but play on anyway...

On the head count issue, you only lose your score if you have too many on the field. If you call a head count, and erveyone has the correct number on the field, then a free kick is awarded against you in front of goal - exactly what happened. I can tell you that PAOC's coaching staff were sh!tting themselves when the head count was called - they thought they had too many men on the field. We only called the head count because a PAOC player came running off the bench to get involved in a scuffle - what we didnt know (and PAOC didnt know at first either) was that PAOC only had 17 men on the field at that stage anyway. It added a bit of spice to the game anyway, as did the father of #5 running on the ground to protect his son getting 'beaten up' by the 18 year old Portland player he decided to swing one at. Wrong move, the young Portland bloke is a champion boxer !!!

On the over-the-top celebrations, i admit in hindsight they may have seemed that way. There was a fair bit of emotion released after the final siren, we have been pipped at the post in the first 2 games of the season and have been under the pump to perform. There was very much a sense of relief to win a close one, especially when the lead changed a couple of times late in the last quarter. There was also a sense of achievement after beating what we consider very good opposition, at home. I dont think our reaction after the game would have rubbed you blokes up the wrong way, in fact it probably should be taken as a compliment. The game was played in excellent spirits i thought by the way.

We do not like the term chokers, we prefer 'successfully challenged'. But the lowest we have finished is 5th in those years and your highest is 6th. Sandman my experience with RiversideAlbertonUnitedEthelton is they tend to get pretty carried away with wins, having carried on like pork chops both times they have beaten us. But these were also close games against their closest rival.
Sandman you may have noticed a correlation between both these statistics. Due to a lack of, or non existence of finals football and the subsequent infequency of winning any sort of football match, doing so would cause great excitement throughout the RiversideAlbertonUnitedEthelton Football Club.

Joker - I agree with you, Matt Schapelle Hood was good again on Saturday as was Michael Mercedes Hood but I'll think you will find bucketts was taking the piss.

Gee you PAC people would have to be the worse losers in the league. Sounds to me you are dazed and confused and the princesses got a little bit ahead of themselves with talk of an undefeated season and premiers. God forbid you lost a game and to a team from the port which you hold no respect for and never have. Why wouldnt the boys from the port celebrate after beating an up them self undefeated side like PAC on their own oval. Dry youur eyes princesses and be aware that this season is still wide open and you havent got your hands on the trophy yet. And as for the father running on the field well I believe that speaks for itself!!!
