Oval is green, but real hard underneath. My right leg has a huge weeping graze from hitting the deck a couple of times on the boundary, got stuck to the sheets and had to rip them off the wound Sunday morning  :vom:

Ouch! thanks for that. I dont realy like playing at school grounds loses the club feeling of a saturday.

Forgot about size, not a huge oval, probably very similar to Hope Valley in dimensions.

I hear ya loud and clear, Quichey. Won't go into it, all I will say is that it was extremely disappointing. As to what effect it had on the result in a close game, we'll never know

i thought heccies v lockleys had really gd umpires. one of the best in div 6. they were very consistent. think one of their names were goodwin.
on the other hand the boundary ump (think he was from heccies) will never umpire again i hope. first boundary throw in he literally dropped the ball over his head. 2nd n 3rd attempt werent much better than the field ump had to do it. right in front of the spectators as well. think he learnt a few new words on sat to talk about at show and tell

The umpire with the beard in this game was a former member of the SANFL umpires squad. He is a very good umpire however he was only doing a one off amateur game as he umpires in a country league and had the week off last week.

Was the boundary umpire the same kid that did the B's? He had to stand 5m inside the line in the B's to even get the ball close to the contest.

with the majority of sides playing on Friday, how are you structuring your training? Are you training and having selection tonight or just leaving it as per normal and training Thursday night??

Brahma Lodge vs West Croydon Will the extra goal-kicking practice pay off this week? Should win convincingly.
Hope Valley vs Houghton Rexy to get an emergency call-up, in the final seconds of the match with Houghton down by a couple of points he takes a hanger over Luke Hann deep in the pocket on the boundary. His checkside bends through the Celine Dions to give the Raiders a memorable four point victory. The team hoist him onto their shoulders and shower him with beer.
Westminster vs Trinity Will Trinity have the handful of Central U19 players from last week? Possibly not (Central had the bye last week) so WOS to win by a couple of goals.
Lockleys vs Glenunga Demons to win easily, 50+ points.
Hectorville vs Colonel Light Gdns Will be a belter of a match, but the Lions to get up by a few points (noticed their Victor recruits in the goal kickers last week).
