A lot of the country guys have played at SANFL level, you only pay what you consider they're worth. One of the big problems is guys play Res footy, go and play a couple of seasons in the country somewhere on huge money, get sick of the travel so go to city clubs expecting to get the same coin. Country footy tends to over inflate the value and egos of some players. A player worth $150 max in the city can pull $300+ from some clubs in the bush, what is not taken into consideration is the time/travel involved to get this sort of money.

Good points aceman. You do hear of alot of money getting chucked at country footballers. Be good to see if the lads coming from the country are up to the standard. Where are they from again?
